Bab 67: What's So Funny?

Bree told herself she wasn't going to fall for any of Jasper's tricks. He couldn't buy her…even if she really loved the things he gave her.

Her resolve was severely tested when he took her to the kitchen the next day after breakfast and saw that he had bought a whole bunch of shiny new appliances including a KitchenAid solely because she offered to make cinnamon bread. Her jaw practically dropped to the ground.

"When did you get all of this?!"

"I had someone get it yesterday. Do you like it?" Jasper asked.

Bree ran her fingers over the top of it reverently. "How could I not? I've always wanted a KitchenAid but couldn't afford it. This is going to make things so much easier!"

"I'm glad."

She stopped admiring the KitchenAid and began rifling through cupboards and the fridge to get what she needed. She had pulled the recipe from her Pinterest up on her iPad and was ready to go.
