Bab 240: Pet Fighting Back

The she-wolf blocked Ethan's blow and took the brunt of his next strike to the side of her face; she collapsed to the ground and kicked out again. Ethan growled ferociously, his chest heaving and vibrating in response. He grabbed her leg and went to headbutt her face, but Esme flipped onto her front, kicking him in the face as she did so, angering him further. 

Ethan grabbed that leg, also. Esme knew he was going to break them, his temper speaking louder than his logic. But he wasn't going to have the chance. She collapsed to the ground on purpose. That purpose was now staring her in the face. 

The boiling hot pipework ran across the bottom part of the bathroom, and from her experience, she knew how lethal it could be when used as a weapon. Her powers may be failing her right now, but her wit had returned and with it, the skills of a bloodthirsty assassin. She swiped her claws down on the heated pipe just as Ethan leaned toward her.
