The next, and last item, on the altar was the rainbow-colored flower. I remembered it, and everything it stood for. This flower was a little too much for me at the moment, but it was also the last part of this, before we could move to the closing of the ceremony. This flower, with all its beauty, had a darkness to it as well.

"This flower represents the last part of the ceremony." Grandfather Yuri spoke as he held the blossom between us. "Its beauty shows you that with the proper care, your marriage will be as beautiful as this flower."

Yes, that was true, but there was more to it as well. More than this beautiful thing conveyed.
