**ADDIE'S POV**

With the exams over, it was almost time for us to head back home. It had gotten colder around the campus, and there were often little snow flurries that were flying through the air. It was only two and a half weeks left until the Cold Season, or winter, officially began. And, in truth, that was the start of the new year.

I just thought that it was funny that things here in this world still mirrored Earth in a way. Like how, in most western nations, school started in the fall and ended in the spring. That was just a sort of universal thing, I guess. Well, not exactly. I knew that there were other countries that started in the spring. Still, the school year spanned more than one actual year, and that was my point here.
