The six of us moved to the dining room before Grandfather started to give Briar an explanation about what Addie was. There wasn't going to be a lot of talk about Addie's origins, specifically that she used to be a human, but we still didn't want to chance anything at all, so we had the food served and then the servants cleared from the room. We would call them if we needed them.
