Connor pushed the curtain aside and paused when he saw how gloomy was the mood inside the room he had just entered. Eden was still in Glen's arms and his swollen eyes showed how much he had cried.

Usually, the man would have tried to cancel the strange atmosphere with a joke, but the male omega's tears and the stern look on everybody's faces made him understand that it was better to avoid any humor and any questions. Tongues would loosen themselves at the right timing and it wasn't now.
