Bab 277: 276

Another car ride. In silence, stuck on the road as the endless gray of the street filled their tired eyes. Kai had gotten scared, every day, every hour that passed he would get a bit more scared, a bit more worried about what could happen. What could happen to Philip and the people he loved. Small mistakes, things that usually wouldn't matter are now important, every move counts and sometimes he felt as if he was unable to breathe. 

He wanted some time on his own, in silence to think as his head rested on the beach of his car seat. He closed his eyes, breathing in and trying to convince himself he was overreacting. He had never been like this, worried and emotionally a mess but the more people he had around him, the weaker he felt. More vulnerable because in isolation he never had anything to lose.
