Kai stopped, his voice getting smaller and smaller as he observed his lover from a distance. His posture, the way he looked at him and the blood all over his body. Philip was panting, holding in his hand Kai's crown. The prince frowned, unable to put the pieces together but his blue eyes spotted a pair of legs on the ground, showing through the door of the stable. He gasped, realizing that someone was dead there. 

He didn't know what to do. He didn't know what to say or how to act. He just heard the rain get louder and louder, stronger as it landed on his skin like needles. Had Philip killed that man? The vampire couldn't help but wonder. He would never do something like that, not the man he loved, not the man he knew. Philip stood there though, bathed in crimson blood, looking at the prince as if he couldn't recognize him.
