Michael makes his way back to Louise's room and sets her clothes down on the side while sitting on the haystack that's supposed to serve as his bed... He curls up into a ball to conserve his warmth as Louise hadn't deigned to give him a blanket or anything, leaving him in only the thin rags he'd been given... Considering medieval towers didn't come with insulation or heating, it was very cold... Though, Michael could feel the ambient warmth emitted from Louise's bed, most liking having been enchanted somehow.
He rests his back against the cold wall and sighs, thinking about what his family, specifically his sister, would be doing right now... He was sure she'd survived the 'truck of death', but wasn't sure how she'd react to losing him...
Thinking about it further though, wouldn't he be able to go back to Earth if he had Louise open a portal there? Void Mages could open doors to other worlds, so, didn't that mean he'd be able to go back?...
Though... Judging by how he'd somehow ended up in the green orb where Saito should have been, who's to say that the Earth he'd return to was even his original one? It was very likely that the world he'd return to would be Saito's fictional one, and not his own.
He lets out another sigh and stands, not feeling tired yet as he'd already slept most of yesterday... He stands and glances around, looking for something interested to alleviate his boredom, when he finally notices a black book... Specifically, the one that Colbert at left at his bedside...
He picks it up from the table and crooks a brow at its title... Book of Commoners... It was written in gold so he thought that it'd be more impressive, but apparently not... He wasn't even sure what a Book of 'Commoners' would actually be... Maybe a list of commoner professions? People? Ways to avoid them?.. Yeah, that seemed like something these nobles would do.
Shaking his head, he sits back at his haystack and flips it open, but squints his eyes as a flash of light illuminates the room... It quickly clears though, leaving Michael unharmed, if somewhat dazed.
Once his vision clears however, he's confused by the contents of the book.

"What is this?" Michael mutters, wondering what, or why all of this was written down... Was this supposed to be his gold finger? His cheat?... It was a bit underwhelming to be honest... If all it did was display how crappy status, then he might as well not even have it...
He could already tell that the average stats for an adult would be a clean 10 across the board... His 5 makes him incredibly weak, even for his age... His intelligence however, is probably above average? He hoped at least. One thing that stuck in his mind is how the stats were divided though, most games would grant more specific ones like Perception, Luck, etc... But he was stuck here with three basic ones... Did he have to unlock them maybe?
What did his rank mean though? Common? Was it making fun of him and his current status as a commoner?
He scans the book over three times, but doesn't achieve any 'great enlightenment'... The 'Spirits' section was confusing him far more than his rank anyway... He stares at the section for a minute or so until he realises that the plus sign next to the N/A was glowing faintly...
He holds his breath and presses it with his index finger, causing the book to abruptly levitate out of his hand and float in front of him, its pages rapidly flipping before it stops halfway through...

"Holy shit... FUCK YE-eah..." he stops himself before he shouts and accidentally wakes up his 'master'... Still, his excitement remains though... These were all Dota 2 heroes! And judging by how they were arranged, he was allowed to pick one!
...
Still, looking over them, he couldn't help but notice how all the 'super powerful' ones were missing. This is probably what his rank was for. In-game you were able to pick heroes that ranged in power from random bar fighters, to gods who could wipe out universes with a flick of their finger... They had to be balanced for the game to function obviously, but he doubted such restrictions mattered here, especially considering how there were different tiers.
"Hah, take that Dad... That game will never help me in real life now, right!?" he mutters to himself, feeling quite vindicated and hopeful for his situation.
But this left him with some hard decisions to make... Which hero would he actually pick? He probably wouldn't be able to pick another anytime soon, so he'd have to make sure it was the right choice.
Fortunately, he could already separate a few options out from the list... Primarily, he'd remove the ones that were reliant on machines, devices, and other things that may or may not be usable without considerable effort... After all, if he had to build, brew, and craft things to be useful, he'd likely be a sitting duck whenever shit hit the fan.
Alchemist was actually two people combined, a Keen(Small, humanoid gnome-like people), and a Troll which the former rides the back of. Alchemists abilities were primarily comprised of explosive potions, acid sprays, and concoctions that'd send the troll into a frenzy thoroughly boosting its stats.
