Bab 68: Painful memories

Meanwhile, Aylin stood in front of her manor as she stared at the locked door. All the memories from two nights ago came back to her strongly. Yet, this time, she did not tremble in fear. She was prepared to deal with the man who had destroyed her family.

Aylin had hardened her heart, and since she did not know who the man was, she had not hired any more guards to protect the manor. Moreover, she did not even need any guards now for all her family was gone and she was the only one left.

Elena and Gregory had tried to persuade her to stay with them at least for a few days. But Aylin had rejected them sternly, not giving in even when Gregory had pleaded with her. Even his threatens had not worked on her.

She had to deal with the issue herself and running away from reality would not help her in any way. She had to face the man head on.
