"With the moon goddess's care, they will get a lot better enough for them to return home. Mine took decades and I do not know how long she will need and if they will return in your lifetime. That was why I lied," he replied to her sincerely.
She did not know what to believe at first so she decided to take her time to understand fully, what was happening.
"Leave," she told him very firmly before turning away to her bed.
He caught her wrist in a firm grip and turned her to face him. "Do you trust me?" She heard the deep worry in his voice as well as the hope that he felt for her answer to be positive.
"I do but I do not trust your mother," she replied ly letting him hold her hand as his grip tightened a little. "Not being able to see them in my lifetime?" she laughed sadly her laughter sounding more painful than a cry.
