Bab 82: LXXXII

She drank it as he ordered her to. The liquid had a soft trace of mint in it and the other things she tasted in it were too strange for her to identify them.

She got down from the bed when she was sure she could move without falling down. 

When she opened the door of the room, she saw him sitting on one of the chairs in the living room.

She dropped her gaze when he lifted his head and looked at her.

He stood up and walked to her making her tensed while encouraging herself that he won't want to marry a dead bride so he could not kill her or hurt her too badly.

That encouragement was enough to prevent her from screaming and running towards the door.

His hand went to her neck very slowly but when they finally rested on her bare neck that still missed the wet napkin she had to give up, his grip was strong against the back of her neck.

His thumb rubbed slowly in a feathery touch against her jaw before he tilted her head up to look at him.
