"No, I am not a witch. I said I was born with every acquirable supernatural strength which is difficult for even me to believe."
The journey continued with the girl leading the way on her horse. It was already too dark to keep going when they stopped.
Just like the girl did in the past which was one of the many reasons which made impressed by her powers, the girl turned a stone into a cave for the two of them to stay for that day.
"Come in," the girl said as she walked to the entrance.
She went in just as the girl told her to very much aware that the stone which had been made into a cave was visible to only her and the little girl.
The cave soon became warm after the girl made a fire at the entrance of the cave. She made the beddings afterwards with her ability to invite anything she needed.
The cloth she placed in it was made one of their very few luggages.
"I will go get us dinner. What do you want to eat?" the little girl asked after making sure Aurora was comfortable in the cave.
"Chicken?" Aurora asked unsure if the girl will be able to get her domesticated chicken in the middle of the woods.
"I will get it then. Please don't leave until I return," the girl remained Aurora as she stepped out of the cave.
"I don't have any where to go to," Aurora replied.
When the girl left, she waited counting to twenty before she stood up from the bed made of dried leaves but felt surprisingly soft enough for her to feel comfortable on.
She walked to the entrance with her planned escape on her mind.
She might trust the little girl but she could not trust that the Beta who gave the little girl the mission had anything good in store for her.
The moment she stepped out of the cave, she looked back but it all gone. She could not see the fire nor could she see the cave.
She stared around at the dark surrounding that she could only make out the shapes and shadows of the trees and nothing more.
She looked up at the sky through the opening to discover the moon was actually round and bright.
Decided to make her way to the route she was supposed to take since she knew nothing about this new route the girl made her go through on the horse she travelled on.
The horses were all gone. She could not see hers nor the horse the little girl rode on.
She knew the journey was not one she could go on without a horse or a carriage.
"We finally meet. You glow just as much they say you do. Others swore that you will never have taken this route.
"I wonder how you could mask your presence so well that I could not find you after three days. I was already losing my patience," came a deep cold and scary voice from the midst of the darkness.
She turned feeling chill down her spine and the hairs on her body rising in response to such voice that reminded her death and horror.
Her palm immediately got sweaty but that did not stop her from reaching for the hilt of her knife where it was under her belt.
She looked around knowing the person might have masked their presence like the little girl did when they first met.
She wondered why the girl told her there was no other supernatural like her and she was meeting one who could mask their presence well enough.
She had expected an attack but she did not expect one so fast. She was mentally ready for it but it caught her unaware.
She has not even taken a step away from where the cave was for goodness sake.
She took a fighting stance and closed her eyes. This was one of the things she was trained for – fighting in the dark.
She hoped to get a reaction from the person that will help with a hint on the person's position. She doubt if she will be able to win but she could most likely stall for time.
The little girl will most likely arrive soon.
"Who are you?" she asked with shaky voice that gave someone the idea that she was most likely about to cry.
"Who are you?" the deep voice tried to mimic her voice and the person began chuckled at how stupid he sounded.
"Who I am does not matter. Just know that I am here to kill you although it not necessary at all."
With her eyes closed and her body standing in a fighting stance, she waited for the person to come close enough to kill her.
She listened carefully to the wind and the whole nature around her as she waited for the attack of the enemy.
It was only a few seconds, shorter than she expected when the attack came from behind.
Most people most have thought her years of training with her uncle was a joke since her uncle was not even a general or a great warrior like her grandfather but she alone knew she had not wasted her time.
With all she was thought and her personal practices, this person's dagger was not going to get an inch closer. She moved her body to the side in a smooth movement.
With the dagger that was earlier aimed at the back of her neck away from her now, she turned and listened.
The knife was coming again and the person was most likely surprised by what she did.
Despite the confidence building up on her mind now after successfully dodging the dagger, she still knew that she was far from being a match.
This person was definitely a supernatural. She wondered how she was going to win against him with her mundane strength.
It won't take long before she runs out of energy. She waited and the attack came from the side and this time she could only dodge it by less than an inch.
