Bab 121: Legacy race begins!

VROOOOOM!

A black motorcycle sped forward on the wide-open road that lead directly into lavender town. Rex loved the little town since it had a very cosy feeling to it. but when he remembered those ghosts in the Pokémon centre that day, a shiver ran down his spine.

Ten minutes later the small arched gate that had a massive 'lavender town' lettering on it came into view. There was an old woman by the side with a basket picking some wild berries that were on some bushes. They had various vibrant colours.

Inside the town, some young people could be seen gathering around talking about something. Rex slowed the bike to a crawl to listen in.

"There has been massive amounts of ghost Pokémon gathering in the tower. There have even been some injuries amongst the townsfolk due to it. luckily nobody has died, but it's getting worse. They say that if things continue this way, someone from the elite four will travel here to see if they can fix it." said a young man in a worried tone.

"That would be great. I really don't want my home to be continuously ransacked by ghost Pokémon. Not only are my poor Pokémon scared witless, but the food in the pantry is missing. This is the fourth time I've had to come and buy groceries in the past two days!" said a woman.

Rex was surprised at the severity of the situation. It seemed that the legacy wasn't specifically for Marshadow, but he had somehow been the one to activate it. it seemed that all the ghost Pokémon were gathering to fight for it. that might explain the hyper aggressiveness.

In any case, he sped up again and quickly made it to the tower where a massacre had occurred, done by his very own hands. He didn't really feel anything for it and quickly got to the gate where Mr Fuji was sitting quietly with a marowak. It seemed that the little cubone had evolved.

'Good for him,' Rex thought with a warm smile.

Mr Fuji who was playing with the Pokémon noticed Rex and his eyes brightened as if he had seen his saviour.

"Rex! It's good to see you! It's been a while. What brings you here this time?" he asked warmly.

Rex smiled, "I came to see if I can fix this problem," he said as he pointed at the tower.

Mr Fuji's eyes widened, "you know the cause?" he asked.

Rex nodded and shook his head at the same time, "Sadly I don't know the cause, but I have a guess, I have a Pokémon that should be able to fix the problem. But the time taken is uncertain. Am I allowed to go in?" he asked.

Mr Fuji was happy that Rex had a potential solution, "although I would usually not allow anyone to enter due to the danger, you are more than strong enough to handle yourself. I hope you're able to fix the problem." He said with a smile and got up before moving his chair out of the way to allow Rex to enter.

Rex smiled and patted the old man's shoulder slightly, "Don't worry, everything will be resolved soon," he said before proceeding to walk in. Rex had no intention of playing around, he pulled out a Pokeball and threw it out.

Instantly, machamp came of the Pokeball and observed his surroundings. He soon understood where they were but became confused as to why there were back here.

Rex understood his friend's gaze, "we're here because Marshadow can obtain a legacy from the ghost realm. Can you spread out your aura to ward off other pokemon. I don't feel like getting harassed.

Machamp understood and was very happy for Marshadow, he then nodded, and a wave of energy rippled out. invisible, but immensely oppressive in nature. Instantly, the hundreds of ghost Pokémon in the tower felt like they were in quicksand as a feeling of dread overcame their entire body and mind. They felt like death was looming over their heads like a guillotine.

Rex nodded contently and swiftly reached the top floor in a matter of a couple of minutes. He would spot several ghost Pokémon fleeing at the sight of him and the 4 meters tall beast behind him.

On the top floor, a Gengar was sitting with its eyes closed. It wasn't the same one as the one that lived in this tower. This one was much more powerful. But Rex didn't even put him in his eyes.

"Marshadow, shadow punch," he said casually. a pair of burning orange eyes ignited in his shadow before a flash of black shot out and Gengar blasted into the wall. The entire tower trembled slightly as the little Marshadow stood there with green flames that looked almost solid seeping out of his body. Marshadow was in a semi evolved state and his power was ludicrous.

Rex nodded, "Marshadow, this is where we part. I'll stay here until you return. But you need to go to the ghost realm and retrieve the legacy. Only then will you become more powerful. The usually perverted Pokémon was very solemn at this moment. It craved power, so he nodded seriously and walked up to the small altar in the middle of the room where the Gengar was previously seated. Marshadow touched the alter and a ray of black light shot into the sky, the roof did nothing to stop the ray of black light.

Instantly, a massive purple-black whirlpool-like gate opened up which Marshadow quickly ran into. Not even a second later, dozens of other ghost Pokémon rushed towards the gate. Rex didn't want Marshadow to have any more competition.

"Knock them all out, don't let a single one enter the portal." He said seriously. Machamp nodded and instantly appeared in front of the portal before crossing his arms, he was like a mountain. His aura burst forth like a tsunami, it was so oppressive that everything was forced to bow. Like a god amongst mortals. The ghost Pokémon couldn't even lift their heads.

Rex nodded and then looked at the portal, "good luck little buddy, may lady luck look down upon your perverted ass and give you strength." He said with a smile and sat down against a wall and fell asleep. Nobody would dare annoy him. Not that they could with the god beside them stopping them from even moving.

It was only a few hours later that the portal closed. All the ghost Pokémon were distraught at their loss. They had lost the chance to gain legendary power. They directed their hateful glares at the two culprits. Machamp just scoffed in annoyance and flicked his hand. instantly, all the Pokémon in the room were sent shooting into the walls where they fainted in the spot.

{Tch! Ants,} he mumbled in disdain and sat down next to Rex. They were still practising Aura. After all, they were still far from mastering it completely.
