After less than half an hour, Chris walked out with a darker face than he entered with. James couldn't help but feel curious towards what happened inside.

"They… proposed an alliance with us," Chris said in a deep tone while trying to evade the gaze of James.

What happened inside was something he never expected. It proved to him that life wasn't that merciful and he had to rethink how he dealt with things.

Even when he thought he was high and mighty enough to not be touched by anyone, reality proved him wrong.

By the hands of a little cunning girl he got schemed and played like a fool.

"Alliance?!!" James was shocked as Chris expected. However the latter wasn't in the right mood to enjoy this.

"I've told the alpha about it," Chris didn't want to speak about anything for now but James couldn't let him off this easily.
