Bab 131: Once the Emotionless One

Maximilian pierced a spiteful glare at Cecil's furious one.

It was his turn to snort at him then. He found what he said quite ironic.

"You wanna hear what they want to say…?" Maximilian scoffed conceitedly, making Cecil flare up even more. 

"Sure. It will be my pleasure."

Then, as if those words had the power to summon, the people in question showed up.

Out of nowhere, Benedict and Penelope had emerged from the mansion's lounge. Going by the looks of utter dismay and abhorrence on their faces, Maximilian could tell that they heard everything – just as planned. Theo and Viscount had immediately withdrawn, turning away in mortification. Cecil, on the other hand, was in a state of shock for the longest moment.

And as the head of the family muttered his first words, it was dead quiet - as though the world stopped for a fraction of time.
