Bab 23: Pre-written Doom

It all happened in the blink of an eye.

They were just having a somewhat serious conversation for one moment. Then, all of the sudden, something totally unprecedented occurred. Whoever this shadow belonged to had speed that seemed to be as fast as lightning – so much so that it was able to reach Lady and Fallon before they knew it. 

"Look out!" she shouted as she hurried towards him and pushed him out of the way.

His eyes widened in shock, then.

As much as he wanted to get vexed at her for shoving him so hard out of nowhere, he found himself unable to utter a thing when he caught sight of the figure that was creeping up to them from their backs the whole time. It was only a glimpse, but he already knew how this would turn out just from that glimpse alone.

Both of them ended up crashing onto the ground which was fortunately made up of a soft patch of grass. They yelped in pain, nonetheless. That was still one hard drop.
