Once August had wriggled out of his tickling fingers, she sighed with a smile, her head against the pillow. She was back in their bed, back in their home, back under his adoring eyes.

Graeme rumbled over her again with his soft growl, the fierce predator seeking his prey. He caged her in his arms, his gaze sweeping over her face, and then he bent to kiss her. It was a simple peck, meant only to follow up the teasing with the truth. But when their lips touched and that instant jolt of electricity shuddered through both of them, firing off all the nerve endings and beginnings that had been dormant without each other, he pressed further in, seeking more—seeking everything they had been denied while she was away.
