Ever since Heavenly Court and the Northern Plains tribe merged with the Great Love alliance, the Gu World has entered relatively prosperous and harmonious times.

"This can't go on!" a hooded figure, with the number 5 written on his hood, slammed his hands on the desk, "The taxes the Great Love alliance demands are getting far more outrageous with every year!"
The hooded figures, 7, 9 and 10 nodded in agreement.
"The Eastern sea has bled so many resources, that our seas, our homes, have been reduced to a mere third of what it once was!" hooded figure 5's intense fury and passion caused the hood covering her head to fall revealing, her to be a merfolk with flawless white hair, and not just that…
Black Ominous clouds began gathering in the skies far above them, signs of a tribulation were brewing…
"Saintess Naiad, please cover yourself! Immediately!" Figure 3, who had remained silent whilst Naiad spoke hurried her, and she quickly obliged.
"Erhm, my apologies. My emotions got the best of me." Figure 5, the merfolk saintess Naiad, calmed down and returned to her seat.
The table they sat at was rectangular, it held 12 seats and 1 special decorated seat at the head of the table, and every one of them was filled, except for…
"I see number 0 is not here…again." this time the voice came from number 12 the newest and youngest member, there was an arrogance to his voice, "Look at you all, amassing power over the past century and still hiding like a bunch of chickens!"
This time number 12 started to speak up, "Even though these hoods allow us to generate Yellow Apricot Immortal Essence, like a Rank 9, what's the point if we can't refine the World Dao Marks like true Venerables?"
"Hmph," Number 4 snorted, "I'll let it slide since you're the youngest, but your insolence will be your undoing one day."
"What did you say!" Number 12 began weaving his Killer Move, lightning gathered around him "Do you think I'm afraid of a has-been? A coward who ran and hid as Fang Yuan rose to power?"
"Don't say his name!" the other members shouted as they activated their Killer Moves, the air turned suffocating until a voice cut through.
"Enough!" with a wave of his hand a wind blew by and extinguished the auras of all the other Killer Moves, undoing all the effort they had put in, and wasting the Immortal Essencegatheredr within.
"..." Everyone was stunned into silence, to be able to stop a Killer Move before it was launched was something only 1 person at the table was capable of doing, the oldest and first member, number 1.
Number 1's action caught even the other higher-ranked members by surprise,
"Seems like he's made significant progress on his Wind Path attainment, I dare say no one has ever reached this far in Wind Path."
"That old coot has made even more progress again! The number 1 seat is his for good reason."
"Hmph," Number 12 was still adamant, "You rarely take action Number 1, outside of Number 0, you're the only other one who has his identity still hidden."
Though the hoods covered their faces perfectly, everyone could feel Number 1 scowling,
"My identity is irrelevant to the mission." Number 1 spoke in a low, and aged voice, "We are chosen to bring balance back to the world, and need I remind you, that if was not for these Hoods, and the inheritances and Dream Realms, provided for you, that all of you wouldn't even be a footnote in history."
The sound of clenched fists could be heard clearly throughout the hall,
"Come now, no need to be so harsh number 1," a resplendent voice broke the silence, and the tension, as a figure made of pure light descended from on high.
"It's 0!" number 7 gasped, "I haven't seen you since I entered the Coalition almost 30 years ago!"
Numbers 8 and 9 whispered to one another, "That's 0? Not quite what I was expecting, but then again what should I heaven expect."
"I know, well at least it kinda fits the theme I guess?"
Number 12 looked small compared to the radiant 0 who was hovering in the air, his splendour was blinding, literally,
"Alright, enough with the theatrics O great leader, how about you finally explain to us what your grand plan is." Number 12 scoffed aloud.
0 chuckled, "My, the mouth on this one...you need to be taught some manners."
With a flick of his hand Number 12 was sent tumbling to the ground,
"Argh," he screamed in agony as he tried to resist.
"This is the best team you could gather?" 0 spoke out, "I have no use for those who cannot understand their place." 0 made a clenching motion with his hand.
A yellow aura started seeping out and gathering in 0's hands.
"What!? No!" 12 shouted out, "How are you doing that return it to me! My cultivation! My attainment stoppppppp."
As time marched on the scene turned gruesome, 12's body began to shrivel up and his aura dropped rapidly from 9 to 8, 7, 6, 5 down to 1, before being extinguished completely.
The dried husk of a man withered to dust.
"Honestly, Wu Yong I told you to get people who were loyal first, talent 2nd, or is the best you could do?" the yellow energy orb contained the entire life's work of the man only known as 12.
"Wu Yong!?" everyone exclaimed, number 1 sighed, "I thought the plan was to remain undercover until we reached 24?"
0 nodded, "It was…things have…forced my hand."
"Fang Yuan has returned to the Gu World."

Everyone was stunned, to most of them, that name was a resplendent one, filled with the most intense adrenaline-packed story, some called him the closest to reaching the level of a reverend, and others said he was insane.
But none can deny that his story was jaw-dropping, neck-turning, and worth the read.
Hate him or love him, he was always still him.
"Well then," Wu Yong spoke first, "It seems we have a lot to do…"

"Huh," a young hooded boy, whose frame looked no older than 13 stood before the arched sign, "I didn't expect Wu Shuai to let Star Constellation have any influence in the world, let alone allow her to manage an academy that trains future Gu Immortals."
Hundreds of young Gu students walked in and out of the campus, it was more crowded than usual.
"It's finally time for admittance into Heavenly Star Academy!"
"I hear they only accept people who aren't older than 13."
"Not just that, I hear your aptitude needs to be at least a B grade."
A big oafish boy suddenly bumped into the hooded boy,
"Hey watch it run!" the oaf turned to see who had knocked into, only to meet a mask made of pure metal, "What the hell? You tryna be some kind of knight? Hah, do you know where this is? This is an Immortal Academy, founded and directed by the daughter of Star Constellation Immortal Venerable."
The boy wearing a metal helmet, merely responded, "Oh? It's Star Constellation's daughter, not Star Constellation herself? I wonder who's the father."
"Huh?" The oaf taunted, "Are you some country bumpkin? Who doesn't know that the great Star Constellation Immortal Venerable is one of the wives of the illustrious leader of the Great Love Alliance, the direct descendant of Gu Yue Fang Yuan; the Great Gu Yue Wu Shuai!

"You? What are you talking about weird kid? Are you going to apologise for bumping into me or are things going to get-" the oaf was cut off mid-sentence as a swift punch found him across the campus garden into a large oak tree.
Everyone stopped and gasped.
"That was Hong Da Li, he's famous for having a B+ grade aptitude and having great proficiency in strength Path, it was said he may be one of the top 30 strongest in this year's cohort."
"Who's that random kid that just knocked him unconscious in 1 swift punch? Hong Da Li is famously at the 2nd Rank despite being only 13!"
But as the crowd turned to look at the perpetrator, he had already vanished.
"Hmm, at least Thesus was reasonable and left about 1000 Rank 6 Immortal Essence stones, if not piloting this suit and its features would be impossible." a phantasmal blue boy floated around the crowd, no one seemed to notice him.
"Indeed," the voice of the man in the metal mask sounded out telepathically to the blue boy, "The invisibility feature is on par with the level of a Rank 6 Killer Move and thus drains Immortal Essence quite rapidly, we should move, and fast."
The pair were naturally, Fang Yuan and Wisdom Gu.
