Hi Guys...sorry this chapter took so long, I honestly have no real excuse, I've been delaying it ever since got back from Japan nearly half a month ago. And I guess it's because...we're finally reaching the end...I debated hard if I should keep it going or not, but I couldn't see a way forward that wouldn't be too draggy. So I had to come to terms with the fact that we are entering our final arc, and the 2-year journey is coming to an end...thank you to everyone who has read up to this point, I honestly never believed more than 2 people would ever read this mess of a fan-fic..but here we are over 200 chapters in...I'm not sure if my ending will meet any of the expectations that any of you all had as you entered this novel. I know this will never be the true end of RI...and yet I hope some small part of it will scratch that itch that RI has left me for the past few years. Of course, this isn't the end of my journey as an author, I have something in the works that I hope will give you all a new adventure to embark on, it won't be the same as RI, nevertheless I hope you will continue to support my work, and that my toils won't be in vain, and provide you with some relief from monotony, in your day to day life. My new novel will be called; (Name TBR hehe I'll let you all in once I've made at least 40 chapters for that novel.)
She raised her head and met Wu Shuai's eyes, "We no longer need to continue to stall."
A savage grin spread across Wu Shuai's lips, "Excellent. Eternity is upon us."
With no need for their further involvement, Wu Shuai began hatching a plan to take key personnel and Immortal Gu off the Peaceful Soil Heavy Mountain Fortress.
Reputation Gu nodded and helped the clones begin packing.
But from a small corner of the Peaceful Soil Heavy Mountain Fortress,
"Hoh," a mysterious veiled lady stood, plain in sight, and yet went thoroughly unnoticed by everyone, including Wu Shuai who was equipped with AI Gu.
This was none other than the Madam.
"You do not belong here." a male voice broke through the permanent silence that followed the Madam.
Though male, the voice was pleasing to one's ears.
"Feng Jiu Ge, it seems no matter where or when I go you're forever the same," the Madam released a sigh filled with deep annoyance, and yet slight joy, the type one feels when nostalgia washes over them, "I guess some people never change."
Feng Jiu Ge's head popped through the floor, his body slowly ascending upward as if he were climbing the stairs.
It was a peculiar sight that should have raised all manner of alarms…should have.
"I will say this only once, you do not belong here."
If one were able to see him as the Madam could, they would notice that his contour was the same, the build of a scholarly and sagely man with a demonically free aura surrounding him.
Yet, that's not the first thing they would notice, it was the fact that Feng Jiu Ge was a palish blue and semi-translucent.
"Great, now I'm being haunted by the world's most annoying ghost." the Madam's face was covered by a veil yet the annoyance in her tone of voice, made Feng Jiu Ge able to visualise the irritated eye-roll she just did.
Feng Jiu Ge did not entertain her further, "Hand over Lust Gu, do not force me to-"
He was cut short as a thin spider-like Gu was thrown at his face,
"Hmph, take it."
Feng Jiu Ge couldn't believe what happened, he pinched the spider-like Gu off his face and inspected it, doubting the ease and 'sincerity' of the other party.
And yet, "Is this some kind of trick? I know you need Lust Gu to even move around in this purgatory, this dimension repulsed by Time."
Indeed, no sooner had she thrown Lust Gu at Feng Jiu Ge, did her body began to lose its colour, turning into a dullish stone.
"Aww, are you feeling bad for me?" the Madam teased coquettishly, "Feel bad for little old me? Are you having second thoughts about saving me? Maybe then I'll come to you?"
Her body was rapidly being converted to stone, but the Madam continued making Lewd remarks and gestures.
Feng Jiu Ge's face contorted, a mix of anger, anguish, and disgust flashed through his face.
"Want me to call you daddy." the Madam teased flirtatiously.
But oddly enough upon hearing that, Feng Jiu Ge froze, all his conflicted emotions faded away and gave way to only one.
Regret.
And the Madam noticed, "Heh, you're pathetic."
The Madam closed her eyes as she began to lose the very last bits of sensations in her body as the stone encased her head.
"Finally…after so many years…it's finally coming to an end…will my sins finally be forgiven…will you embrace or replace…me"
Those were her last words before being completely encased in stone.
The Madam was no longer there, only a statue and a man remained.
In this silent, empty world, the sound of 2 raindrops hitting the floor was deafening.

Outside the Peaceful Soil Heavy Mountain Fortress,
The battle raged on between Heaven and Sloth…well from any unbiased perspective it was less a battle and more a one-sided beat down.
He was thrown, slammed, crushed and even came close to being reduced to dust.
"*Huff* *Huff* ARGH"
Bathed breaths and furious screams were all Heaven could utter as he spent every iota of his willpower to draw deeper into Wrath Gu's power.
From afar, two goddesses sat, seemingly unconcerned about the nightmarish hellscape that lay in the wake of the battle between sins.
"He's nearly there," the goddess on the left spoke, and there was a hint of concern in her voice.
Naturally, this was Earth.
"Patience everything is still on schedule."
The two dined on tea and a delectable biscuit that originated out of nowhere. It was a mortal dish, made out of supremely basic ingredients, and yet even Immortals couldn't hold back, nor had they any reason to.
"Say, where did you get these things from anyway?" Earth asked whilst delectably munching on one after the other, "I've never seen them in all my 3 Billion years."
Nonchalantly Star Constellation replied, "It's a snack from Fang Yuan's world, I believe it is called a macakaroon?"
"Ptooey!" Earth spat out the macaroon as fast as she had been eating them, "WHAT!"
Star Constellation paid her no mind and continued eating her portion, whilst leisurely sipping her tea.
"How could you of all people trust eating a confectionary from Fang Yuan!!! Who knows what kind of vile scheme he has dreamed up with these…these…delicious…"
Drool leaked from Earth's mouth as she stared at the remaining pile of macaroons and at the ones she had spat out, immense regret was the first thing she felt, for the plight of the macaroons that had been wasted.
"If only I had swallowed just a second early…" was what came across her mind.
"Relax," Star Constellation said, her eyes never leaving the fight between Heaven and Sloth, "I said it's from his world not that he promoted its spread nor is he the one selling it, I made sure of that when I saw the rise in consumption of these amongst Immortals."
"I too thought it was a scheme by him, but doing deeper digging revealed no correlation between the two."
Star Constellation grabbed a few more and continued munching away, her caviler and relaxed attitude gave Earth the courage to continue, albeit at a slower more cautious pace.
At that moment,
"Here. Catch."
A black spider-like Gu flew toward the back of Star Constellation's head, and yet her hand had already moved in place before any words were spoken.
"Tch, you really are throding down that path." the man who threw that Gu was none other than Feng Jiu Ge, and the Gu was, of course, none other than Lust Gu!
"Hmph, a slave of Destiny dare lecture me on the Path I have chosen? It's so hypocritical it's almost contemptible."
Feng Jiu Ge scoffed, "I am no slave, I am an observer."
"You can't change anything you have seen, and have to rigidly follow the path that Destiny chooses, what are you if not a slave?"
Feng Jiu Ge glared at Star Constellation who returned in kind, "Know this, Destiny is not Fate nor the Future, but the culmination and convergence of the infinite paths woven, leading to the single destination; The End."
"I choose not to interfere with this sacred aspect of life, out of respect of being ignorant of my own Destiny, not out of a restriction, it is a privilege to perform my part in this grand play."
"Hmph," Star Constellation scoffed, "You're not just a slave, but a coward as well, you're afraid to find out where your path leads you, because you know it can't be changed, how is that no different from being under Fate?"
"Because all Destinies reach the same Destination, no choice matters, because every choice matters."
Star Constellation relaxed her eyes and continued munching her macaroons, "Go fulfil your final task and our deal is concluded."
"Is it prepared?" he asked, with his arm stretched out, palm open.
Star Constellation tossed a Gauntlet, whose back had 7 grooves on it, each filled with a different Gu, though 3 slots were empty.
"This is the Original Sin Gauntlet, it is a Rank 8 Gu House right now, but once Heaven feeds Wrath Gu enough Dao Marks which should be right about…"
And at that moment,
"ARGHHHH!" Heaven's Golden body had been dyed into a dark Crimson Red.
"He's really doing it!" Earth stood up, appalled, "He's burning his Divinity!"
Tribulation clouds gathered in the sky, but before any lightning could condense, a streak of crimson lightning darted upwards, defying every known law, and shattered the tribulation apart!
Rank 9 Wrath Gu was born without a Tribulation!
And at the same time, in the Eastern Sea,
"Behold! Across the 5 Regions, and Below the Heavens, no one can compare to me! I, Fang Yuan, have taken the first step towards Immortality. Ascend!"
Fang Yuan…has become a Dao Emperor…
