Bab 66: Chapter 2401 Across The World
From the top of the mountain, one could see the entire Southern Border.
The setting sun illuminated the entire region with an orange glow.
"A thousand mentions, pales in comparison to a single encounter, one must move forward, or the world will push you backward. Looking up there is more to desire, looking down only makes one feel better."
Feng Jiu Ge stood at the edge of the cliff as he played the flute and sang some poems.
Star Constellation and Genesis Lotus soon made their entrance by directly landing on top of the mountain!
Feng Jiu Ge sighed, he thought to himself: "Truly, when one thinks of Cao Cao, Cao Cao appears. [1]"
He had been meditating upon his encounter in the Myriad Beast Fusion Color Heaven, the aura of Destiny was extremely potent and he was almost successful at grasping onto its tangibility.
"Feng Jiu Ge how have you been?" Star Constellation spoke courteously as if greeting an old friend.
"Save your pleasantries let's go get my daughter."
Saying so he stood up and gestured for the pair to follow him.
The trio made their way to a tributary of the River of Time.
Meanwhile,
Giant Sun and Fang Yuan were still unclear as to who Genesis Lotus and Star Constellation met as the Duo Venerables concealed their encounter.
Of course, it was impossible to hide their presence due to the amount of Dao Marks they exuded but it was possible to use that to their advantage by obscuring Feng Jiu Ge!
But this was only to buy them a little bit of time.
Both Giant Sun and Fang Yuan had methods to investigate the truth.
Giant Sun used Luck Path while Fang Yuan was more direct and used Stealing Heavenly Secrets.
"Feng Jiu Ge?" both of them thought.
"What would Feng Jiu Ge have anything to do with Red Lotus's revival?" Giant Sun began to ponder.
Meanwhile, Fang Yuan began to deduce: "Hmm, I've been getting reports that exceptional Immortal Seeds have been disappearing throughout the Sovereign Aperture due to Red Lotus's revival plan. I wonder…"
Using a few more bouts of natural inspiration he soon got an answer.
"I see so it's related to Feng Jiu Huang, interesting…Red Lotus what exactly are you up to?"
At that moment Giant Sun contacted Fang Yuan.
As the two could be said to have a mutual interest due to the revival of Genesis Lotus, Heavenly Court had become a clear enemy.
"Fang Yuan, I know we have had our differences, but we must interrupt whatever it is Star Constellation, Genesis Lotus and Feng Jiu Ge are up to!"
Giant Sun only had Fang Yuan as his support as between Fang Yuan and Spectral Soul at least the latter was not completely psychotic.
"Friend Giant Sun, I am ashamed to say that I have been schemed against by Star Constellation and am unable to move, but for the good of the world why don't you go?"
"Hmph! What do you want just say it!"
"Friend Giant Sun your words wound me and have caused me to regress in my treatment, I am truly unable to join one more fight."
"HMPH! Who's a coward now?!" Giant Sun was so frustrated he severed the communication.
"It seems Giant Sun is in a rather desperate situation, even though he has no need to go out to fight he is forced to not allow Star Constellation and Genesis Lotus to pull too far ahead of him and so he wants to use me to restrain them as well! Hmph!"
But Fang Yuan was still rather curious about the state of the River of Time.
After all, his Time Anchors were beginning to be slightly threatened by the tidal waves, causing tons of Year Beasts to flock to his calm waters for safety.
These tidal waves were a slight problem for Fang Yuan as they constantly wore out the Time Anchors that he had placed, causing him to station his Time Path clone, He Chun Qiu, there.
Putting aside such matters Fang Yuan looked at a report that was compiled of the missing Immortal Seeds.
"Oh?"
One name caught his eye.
Fang Xiang!
His brother's son!
"Strange? Fang Xiang is a Rank 6 Gu Immortal why was he dragged in as well?"
Fang Yuan began to sense something was amiss and began further deductions.
Meanwhile, Star Constellation also got a report from Zhao Lian Yu.
"Lady Star Constellation something terrible has happened, Brother Fang Zheng was sucked into some random opening in spacetime!"
Hearing the report Star Constellation began to feel something was off.
"Fang Zheng was taken as well? Strange. So far, he has only been taking in Rank 5s but Fang Zheng is a Rank 7! Maybe the pattern is not promising Gu Immortal seeds but something else…"
Meanwhile, Giant Sun would also get similar news from Light Emperor.
"Father! Something's happened!"
"Calm down! What's happened?" Giant Sun still recalled the incident his son came barging in with *cough* materials.
"It's terrible, I was sparring with Hei Lou Lan and a hole in Spacetime opened up and she fell in!"

This immediately caught Giant Sun's attention.
"Red Lotus what is your plan?!"
Across the Gu World, there were several such instances as well such as Bai Ning Bing, Tie Ruo Nan, Mo Li, the 10 Children of Human Path, and others that disappeared as well. [2]
The Tie Clan in Southern Border,
"Tie Ruo Nan! After all the clan has done for you how could you betray us!"
Several Tie Clan elders were surrounding the heavily wounded Tie Ruo Nan, in her hands were the plans for the crafting of the Beacon Tower.
"Tch! To think that you would forsake the glory of the Righteous Path to be the slave of this vile demon!"
Not far from Tie Ruo Nan was a cold-looking woman with a captivating face and perfect body.
It was of course, Bai Ning Bing.
"Keke of course she would forsake your hypocritical and absurd Righteousness, hmph, for the sake of benefits you lot wouldn't bat an eye at resorting to Demonic means."
"I may be cruel and vicious but I'm honest about it you lot are insidious and hypocritical, you lie, cheat, and steal the labor from your clansman and preach it's all for the 'greater good' hmph."
Bai Ning Bing was wounded as well, normally the Tie Clan would not have been able to render so defenselessly but there was a slight problem.
"Enough!" a handsome brooding man steps forth from the group of Tie Clan members
The man shouted: "Tell me where's my daughter!"
This was none other than Shang Yan Fei, father of Shang Xin Ci!
He had left the position of clan leader to her and his mortal wealth to his children, he then traveled the entire Southern Border making a small reputation for himself.
However, he used the monitor Blood Full Moon as he didn't want to attract attention to the Shang Clan.
After all his years of roaming, he actually managed to ascend to a Peak Rank 7 Blood Path cultivator!
He wanted to see his children once again, but upon his return, he found out that Shang Xin Ci was missing!
All her close subordinates couldn't find her!
They suspected her siblings but then Shang Yan Fei interrogated them he found nothing as well.
He then heard rumors that Bai Ning Bing was back on the Southern Border, and he thought it couldn't have been such a coincidence.
Thus, he tracked her down using a little bit of essence he kept from when she and Fang Yuan were in his care, after all, he never trusted Fang Yuan.
This led him to discover her liaison with Tie Ruo Nan, and he witnessed for himself how Tie Ruo Nan would be completely subservient to Bai Ning Bing!
He reported this to the Tie clan elders who began to pay attention to Tie Ruo Nan, and actually saw for themselves that she was stealing the Beacon Tower blueprints!
They played along until she brought them straight to Bai Ning Bing!
A fight ensued and the result was that the party of 2 was no match for the Tie Clan elders and Shang Yan Fei.
Bai Ning Bing coughed out blood: "Shang Yan Fei you bastard I swear I'll get back at you for this! I don't know where your daughter is but if I see her, I'll enslave her like I did Tie Ruo Nan and then force her to kill herself in front of you!"
Hearing Bai Ning Bing's obscene words the rage got the better of him and he punched her so hard that he sent her flying into the weakened Tie Ruo Nan!
The two knocked back but just as they were flying through the air, a crack in spacetime opened up and swallowed them both!
"BAI NING BING!!!!!" Shang Yan Fei was furious.
In the River of Time,
At the epicenter of where all the waves came from a giant Stone Island was rising from underneath, though calling it an island was an understatement it was more akin to a continent!
Because of its sheer size and mass, it could be seen despite it not having broken through the water's surface.
From above, one could see its gargantuan figure, slowly, rising from the depths of the River of Time.
Three figures were floating high above this Stone Continent.
They were none other than Genesis Lotus, Star Constellation, and Feng Jiu Ge!
"Star Constellation are you sure the plot runs that thick?" Genesis Lotus asked.
On their journey, he was briefed by Star Constellation of the potential danger that awaited Feng Jin Huang.
"Even if it wasn't the case, we can't let Red Lotus plant something in Great Dream Immortal Venerable, she is the key to Heavenly Court's return!"
Feng Jiu Ge snorted: "And did you ever ask her if she wants that fate? Tch, I am only here for my daughter nothing else."
Star Constellation nodded: "Let's begin then."
Genesis Lotus understood and took out Divine Emperor City while Star Constellation took out the Star Constellation Chess Board.
These 2 were Gu houses at the pseudo-Rank 9 status!
Using the Star Constellation Chessboard, she managed to map out a path that they could take to get in.
Genesis Lotus then used his Painting Path method, Creating Moving Pictures, to turn from imaginary to reality!
"Hurry! We can only hold on for 30 minutes, Feng Jiu Ge go!"
Just as Feng Jiu Ge nodded and entered a voice boomed out: "I hope you can allow for one more!"
It was Fang Yuan and Giant Sun!
"Hmph, be my guest!" Star Constellation snorted.
Giant Sun was confused, he thought they would have to fight but Star Constellation was cooperative?
"Hehe, Star Constellation you're truly a Wisdom Path Venerable, trying to trick us to enter. I know that our Dao Marks are too much and would cause the tunnel to collapse on us!"
Giant Sun was shocked! He turned to squint at Star Constellation, who merely shrugged her shoulders.
Fang Yuan continued: "I merely have a proposition, me and Giant Sun will chip and you allow us to send 1 person each. Deal?"
Fang Yuan had initiated an Alliance Oath to show his sincerity: "I will not temper with the tunnel to cause harm to any party involved."
His hand was still outstretched.
Star Constellation looked toward Genesis Lotus, who nodded at her.
"I agree on one condition, we get to send one more person since there are two of us,"
Giant Sun did not seem please at that deal but before he could say anything,
"Agreed."
And they shook on it.
Since the majority had agreed Giant Sun had no choice but to agree as well.
Fang Yuan sent out Ying Guang Xin [1] and Giant Sun sent Light Emperor.
Seeing Ying Guang Xin, the other 3 Venerables were shocked that she had switched sides and joined Fang Yuan!
"So, who are you going to send?" Fang Yuan asked.
Heavenly Court had no members left to send.
"Her."
Star Constellation then pulled out Zhao Lian Yun!
