Bab 17: Chapter 2351
The miniature sun collided with Fang Yuan's wave of Soul Path Dao Marks.
The miniature sun was almost 1000 meters in diameter but despite its size it was still drowned out by Fang Yuan's Soul Path Dao Marks.
"Spectral Soul stop pulling your punches, or we'll leave you behind," Star Constellation was having none of Spectral Soul's shenanigans.
"Hmph! What do you know?" Spectral Soul snapped his fingers.
*BOOM*
The miniature sun exploded! Its might was vast and it greatly exhausted many of the Soul Path Dao Marks that were chasing Star Constellation.
Now that the Venerables had some breathing room they turned their attention to Fang Yuan.
"*Clap* *Clap* *Clap* truly admirable, even with all the chance of backstabbing you can put aside your differences for the common good." Fang Yuan spoke condescendingly from his throne.
"Fang Yuan don't let all the minor victories get to your head. How long can you keep this stalemate up? I suggest you leave behind Reckless's body and, some other compensations and we'll leave." Giant Sun spoke up from the 3 Venerables.
"What, how can we leave we have him on the ropes just endure until he's exhausted and, we'll have his head!" Star Constellation's eyes were radiating with killing intent.
"Hmph, Star Constellation your words lack sincerity who exactly is going to trust your words, if you want me or Spectral Soul to fight Fang Yuan to the death with you for free, forget it."
Giant Sun immediately dismissed Star Constellation, Fang Yuan was too much of a wild card he had managed to remain hidden amongst 3 venerables for a considerable amount of time, even under Star Constellation's scrutinization!
"As much as I hate Fang Yuan, I'm no lunatic either, Star Constellation if you want us to stake so much then you have to do better than that." Spectral Soul also echoed Giant Sun's sentiments.
Though in his case it was because Fang Yuan currently dominated Soul Path making Spectral Soul very useless. He was afraid that if Giant Sun didn't help him and Star Constellation would not be enough.
"You! Cowards!"
Giant Sun felt those words were very ironic as Fang Yuan had accused him the same when he refused to attack Central Continent when Star Constellation was attempting to revive Primordial Origin.
"Fang Yuan make your decision, or we'll have no choice but to fight it out!"
The situation was intensely chaotic, one side was pretending to be strong while having internal discord, while the other was pretending to be weak but had to hold back to not reveal himself!
"Fine, you guys have forced my hand."
Fang Yuan stood up from his throne.
*Whooooooosh*
Soul Path Dao Marks gathered onto him as if he was a black hole!
Immortal Killer Move -------------- Dang Hun Mountain Armor!
Dang Hun Mountain crumbled beneath his feet and reassembled onto Fang Yuan's body as armor! The armor shone with an eeriness of death emanating from its crystal exterior.
Immortal Killer Move ------------- Luo Puo Valley Sword!
Luo Puo Valley was reforged with its land becoming the handle and hilt of the sword, and its fog congealed into its blade! The sword was a massive two-handed greatsword the sword was symmetrical, had a T shape hilt, and an enormous 1.5-meter blade. (Basically, imagine Viego's blade of the ruined king from league of legends)
Combined Immortal Killer Move ---------------- Supreme Emperor Yama!!!
With both moves on hand, Fang Yuan was able to continuously draw in Soul Path Dao Marks as he moved and use them to reinforce his defense, attack, speed, healing, etc.… it was an upgrade in all fields.
The faces of the 3 venerables grew grim.
"Shit, what the hell kind of move is that Spectral Soul is there any way you can counter it?" Giant Sun messaged.
"Tch, he's really pushed Soul Path to its limits with that, he has ingeniously solved one of Soul Path's weaknesses; quantity."
Spectral Soul continued: "I spent my time, consuming various souls to grow my own soul while he has instead used the natural Soul Path Secluded Domains Of Heaven And Earth to use Soul Path without the need of accumulating lives!"
"Those Soul Path Dao Marks are completely under his influence and any Soul Path move I use will be absorbed and dismantled by those 2 Secluded Domains; I can't even imagine what he could do with the Doors of Life And Death!"
"I can." Star Constellation was deducing the moves as fast as she could: "He would be able to touch upon the threshold of Rank 10!"
"So, this is a peak Rank 9 Soul Path Killer Move? Great how much worse can it get." Gaint Sun sarcastically asked.
"Hehe, I hate to make this situation bleaker, but his Immortal Essence Expenditure has technically gone down!"
"What!?" Giant Sun was beyond shocked: "If so, then why didn't he use this move in the first place!?"
"Because one its activation seems to be required some time, two its not like no essence was used what Spectral Soul meant was that he had to consume a lot of Immortal Essence in one-shot but maintaining the move is cheaper." Star Constellation analyzed.
In fact, she was right! This move required a hefty sum to be paid upfront and still required Fang Yuan to consume Immortal Essence to sustain it!
Of course, that was no problem for Fang Yuan, but the Venerables now had the impression that Fang Yuan was on his last ropes.
"Fang Yuan! Think this through so what if you managed to kill one of us, you'll die as well let's call a cease-fire." Giant Sun was quite afraid that Fang Yuan might target him as among the 3 his firepower was technically the highest and most unpredictable.
If a fight were to occur it would be him that was the tank, and he of course wouldn't want such a thankless job.
"HAHAHA, you 3 have pushed me this far and want to go back; Hmph how bout you lot go back home first!"
Fang Yuan raised his sword and slashed once at the Northern Plains, once at Central Continent and, once at Spectral Heaven.
Seeing this the 3 venerables showed puzzled faces.
Especially Spectral Soul: "What is he aiming for in Spectral Heaven? I have no subordinates; I haven't even made my clone yet?"
Star Constellation was also thinking the same thing: "What is Fang Yuan planning? Heavenly Court is ruined there's no point in wasting his strength to beat a dead horse?"
Giant Sun was the only one who was weary of the attack as he still had people, he cared about in Longevity Heaven and the Northern Plains.
"Is Fang Yuan planning to harm Longevity Heaven? Even if they are killed I can revive them using the Blood Sea but still to waste so much energy on that? Something doesn't seem right."
The 3 Venerables inspected Fang Yuan and found that move had used up 66% of his Killer Move's strength!
A tired Fang Yuan was too tempting of a chance to pass up.
The 3 venerables discussed and prepared their Killer Moves to strike at Fang Yuan.
Spectral Soul would use his Yang Path Killer Move to directly strike at Fang Yuan while Giant Sun and Star Constellation would pincer him from the sides.
They stood a good chance of killing Fang Yuan today!
The world will no longer have a complete otherworldly demon!
Fang Yuan steeled himself and stood upright. In the gleaming armor and deathly sword, he looked like a demon king prepared to challenge the gods.
As all parties were prepared to strike. Fang Yuan smirked.
"FANG YUAN!!!" The 3 parties yelled as they ran.
Back to their respective bases!?!?!?
Giant Sun rushed to the Northern Plains. Star Constellation flew straight to Central Continent and Spectral Soul ascended into Spectral Heaven not forgetting cast death stares at Fang Yuan.
Rewind back to when Fang Yuan sent out 3 slashes to the respective bases of the 3 venerables.
The 3 slashes were actually a Killer Move!
Immortal Killer Move ---------- Devour The World!
The move touched upon Spectral Soul's domain of Devouring, when the slashes arrived at their destination they transformed into Beasts Of Hunger, they began to consume all the Dao Marks around them as they traveled, they grew bigger and bigger.
The Beast Of Hunger resembled a giant 9 headed hydra, with a giant horizontal mouth in the middle of its body that was constantly open.
Although Fang Yuan had no ability to control them, he could set their trajectory allowing them to attack key targets.
These Beast Of Hunger, while originally made from Soul Path, could consume anything and turn it into Soul Path Dao Marks although the ratio was terribly ineffective, this gave them the potential to grow to become as strong as a full Rank 9 Killer Move but they needed time.
If the 3 venerables had intercepted the moves before they got to their destination it would have been a colossal waste of energy.
Fang Yuan of course had more cards on standby should the move had failed.
Of course, the Venerable wouldn't be moved by the deaths of people if they had the ability to kill Fang Yuan, but Fang Yuan had targeted their achilleas heels.
"Hehe, I wonder who will be able to salvage their situation." Fang Yuan crossed his hands behind his back as returned to his HQ.
Giant Sun was the first to arrive and saw how the Soul Marks had devoured its way into Longevity Heaven and was drinking up his Blood Sea!
He was infuriated! He used various moves to send the ravenous beast out and after a great deal of effort managed to barely save his Blood Sea although it required tremendous repairs!
But the Beast was still not dead, Giant Sun only managed to throw it out, worse the Beast was consuming all the Dao Marks in Longevity Heaven, including his refined Luck Path Marks!!!
Giant Sun had no choice but to take the fight out of Longevity Heaven which meant that he would not receive the amplification of Dao Marks from Longevity Heaven, while the beast continued to grow!
Similarly, Star Constellation was facing the same dilemma only this time the Beast was targeting Emperor City!
This Gu House contained the future generation of Heavenly Court members and Genesis Lotus's will!
This Gu House alone would not be worth the potential to deal Fang Yuan a finishing blow, but Genesis Lotus's will send out a distress signal saying that Emperor City was the only part of Genesis's revival plan that it knew about.
Star Constellation could begrudgingly let Millions die to deal with Fang Yuan, but she knew that if another Venerable could not revive because of her she would truly be Heavenly Courts greatest sinner.
Besides with Genesis Louts around in the future, Heavenly Court's situation would greatly improve.
Losing him meant losing nearly 1/3 of Heavenly Court's strength and in such tumultuous times, there was more to lose than gain from begrudgingly fighting Fang Yuan as even the other 2 venerables left!
Given what she was going through she could only imagine that the other 2 targets were worth equally or more than a Venerables Revival, which made her think: "What could be so valuable to Spectral Soul and Giant Sun, also how does Fang Yuan know all this information?"
However, deductions would have to wait as dealing with the Beast of Hunger was proving to be a challenge, everything she threw at it barely slowed it down, and it was growing stronger.
But the one with the worse situation was Spectral Soul! Not only was Spectral Heaven a paradise for the Beast Of Hunger, but Spectral Soul had to resort to using Yang Path Methods to deal with it.
Worse was that the beast was devouring Black Heaven's foundation, making it hard to continuously suppress the White Heaven underneath.
Should Black Heaven's foundation drop too much White Heaven might gain the superiority and place Black Heaven underneath which would greatly weaken and diminish Spectral Soul's control over Spectral Heaven!
"You Idiot! You should have stopped this move before it arrived!" Heaven's Will's berated Spectral Soul.
"How was I supposed to know! Anyway, move past that and help me deal with this!" Spectral Soul roared at Heaven's Will as he desperately fought against the Beast Of Devour with Pseudo-venerable Strength.
The Beast was slowly surpassing him in power, which made his situation worse.
Fang Yuan's plan ingeniously made the 3 Venerables question their cooperation, was it worth dealing with Fang Yuan and then losing to the other 2 Venerables? Their answer; NO!

zulbucks Phew, I've made another chapter yay! Throughout my day I kept seeing various people contributing Power stones and adding this book to their collections, it fueled my creativity and I immediately got to work as soon as I could.
I want to thank everyone who reads my work, who believes in my works, and loves my story. I want to give RI the ending it needs but I am definitely incapable of giving it the ending it deserves. I feel sad that Gu Zhen Ren has seemingly moved on from his life's greatest work not with the joy of accomplishment and honor that an author of his caliber deserves but with the reluctancy of a defeated fighter, I wish his future endeavors all the best and I hope that this book will 1 day reach him and know that his book has touched all of us and given us so much joy. So I want to return the favor even if my book is bad, even if my storytelling skill is terrible, I will preserve, improve and finish this story so that it will not remain incomplete for eternity! I once again implore everyone who wants to believe in me to give me your vote of confidence by adding this book to your library it would mean the world to me, and if you feel there are key flaws in my book please point them out so that I can improve, this is one of the chapters I felt risky to post as I am unsure if I have strayed too far from the source. As always I look forward to seeing you all in the next one :)
