The Battlefield Killer Move ---------- Space And Time Are Mine
Within Reckless Savage and Fang Yuan stood face to face in a void.
Within the Battlefield there was nothing, no light, no sound, nothing; not even Dao Marks!
"Interesting." Reckless Savage spoke as he observed his surroundings: "I have to hand it to you the Killer move is very good, within this little Domain of yours it could be said that not even Heaven could rival you."
Fang Yuan did not stand on ceremony he continued launching and weaving countless Killer moves at Reckless.
"Fire Swarm Locust"
"Ravages of Time"
"Spatial Rend"
"5 Restriction Profound Light"
The killer moves rained onto Reckless Savage Demon Venerable causing a massive explosion, but after the clouds settled Reckless merely patted the dust off his shoulders.
"My turn."
Immortal Killer Move ---------- Your Reputation Precedes You!
At that moment golden light erupted within the battlefield Reckless Savage was at the center of a golden visage of himself that was over 100 meters tall!
Fang Yuan squinted he could tell that those Dao Marks came from Heaven Path!
Apart from himself and Paradise Earth he had not seen another Gu immortal have this many Heaven Path Dao marks.
It was a great temptation to Fang Yuan. He wanted to bring out Thieves Den to steal these Dao marks, but his Theft path, Heaven Path and Refinement Path intuition told him that even if Thieves Den was a Rank 9 Gu house it still would not be possible.
"How can that be? Normally speaking even if the Rank 8 Thieves Den could not steal from the Rank 9 Reckless Savage, surely the Rank 9 version would? But my intuition is telling me that there is something strange about this phantom."
As Fang Yuan was thinking all this in his mind only a second had passed in the real world.
Deducing his options Fang Yuan did not forget to spare some thoughts to launch attacks at the Giant made of Heaven Path Dao Marks.
"Weak." With that Reckless swatted at Fang Yuan.
Fang Yuan activated the Reverse Flow River.
"Hmph, that trick again. The other Venerables might use methods to bypass it but let me show you how a real man would deal with it."
With that Reckless Savage directly grabbed and squeezed the Reverse Flow River.
The damage was reflected at Reckless but instead of relenting, he squeezed harder!
"This lunatic." Fang Yuan had no choice but to dispel the Reverse Flow River.
He didn't want to completely exhaust Reverse Flow River, while it wouldn't be very useful against the other Venerables it still provided them some form of challenge.
But against Reckless? It was basically useless, the damage reflected was minor and was quickly healed.
"Hmph, truly the most reckless Venerable in history, looks like I'll have to try a little bit harder."
Outside the Battlefield Killer Move in Eastern Sea.
Star Constellation was the first to arrive.
She used all her investigative killer moves and found, nothing.
She began deducing: "Where are they? What has Fang Yuan done this time."
As she was deducing: "Friend Spectral Soul I advise you don't spend too much time planning to sneak behind me and instead search for our friend Heaven Refining."
A ghostly smoke suddenly congealed into the body of a robust male figure, Spectral Soul Demon Venerable was the second to arrive.
"Hmph, I still haven't paid you back for what you did at the Crazed Demon Cave." With that spectral Soul began using his own methods to search the area.
"Friends it appears that I am late what have you found?" With that, the third Venerable had arrived, Giant Sun Immortal Venerable.
"You sure took your time friend Giant Sun could it be that you perhaps knew something about Daoist Reckless's revival?" Star Constellation said while deducing Fang Yuan and Reckless's locations.
Spectral Soul also looked suspiciously at Giant Sun.
"Impossible, how would I know anything about Reckless he is 700,000 years older than me. In fact, he still holds a grudge against me for destroying his will in Crazed Demon Cave."
That part was not a lie. Reckless did in fact harbor a grudge against Giant Sun for destroying his arrangements in Crazed Demon Cave.
He viewed it as one of the greatest battles to be ever seen in the Gu world; with Rank 8s being nothing but pawns on that battle stage and a million-year plan coming to fruition, with eternity as its stake!
Just the incredible odds were enough to make his heart race let alone that the greatest people of an era were gathered, including 2 Venerables, Spectral Soul's main body! Paradise Earth's Heaven Path body and the soon to 11th Venerable, Fang Yuan!!!
It was certainly one that would go down in history and Giant Sun took his chance to participate away from him!
Star Constellation added: "I just find it a little bit strange that Reckless Savage flew from The Northern Plains to the Eastern Sea without you knowing."
"I was in the middle of something, and you don't expect me to survey the entire Northern Plains 24/7 do you, besides when Reckless emerged he had Rank 7 aura, there was no way for me to associate that Rank 7 aura with famous Rank 9 Reckless Savage Demon Venerable." Giant Sun continued to defend himself by feigning ignorance.
"In fact, I should be asking you friend Star Constellation, why would you immediately rush to join the fight between Fang Yuan and Reckless, knowing your behavior you most certainly would continue to plot in the background!"
Star Constellations abrupt change in behavior intrigued Spectral Soul as well, it was her sudden movement that forced both him and Giant Sun to act.
Star Constellation merely hmphed and continued deducing; further casting doubt on her and Reckless's relationship.
"Phew, I've managed to at least leave some doubt in Star Constellation and Spectral Soul's minds, the potential alliance between Reckless and myself will always seem like a possibility in their heads but at least it remains that, a possibility."
"But Reckless, Fang Yuan where did you go?"
"Since we're already here how about a truce between the 3 of us, why don't we refine our respective Dao marks here in the Eastern Sea!"
Of course, it was Spectral Soul who first thought up such a direct and fiendish tactic.
"No." Giant Sun and star Constellation said in unison.
Although the offer sounded tempting, giving Spectral Soul the chance to lay his hands on the 5 regions when he already had Spectral Heaven could not be a good thing.
Star Constellation and Giant Sun knew that if Spectral Soul could refine the natural Dao marks in the 5 Regions, he would gain some kind of qualitative upgrade.
And they were right! Spectral Soul could assimilate Spectral Heaven with the 5 Regions if he was able to refine the natural Dao Marks in the 5 Regions.
With the combined might of Spectral Heaven and the 5 Regions, he would have nearly double the Dao Marks that any other Venerable could control.
In fact, with Spectral Heaven he could suppress the other Dao Marks as well.
"Tch, then what are we doing just standing around? We can't do much here, even if we kill every living being here it would hardly affect Fang Yuan, all his resources and key personnel are inside the Sovereign Aperture."
Spectral Soul was greatly annoyed at the situation, nothing was going according to his initial plan.
"We wait, Fang Yuan may have used a profound Space-Time Battlefield Killer Move to shield him and Reckless from our senses but sooner or later they will appear." Star Constellation continued deducing.
"I suggest the 2 of you prepare as well."
Meanwhile within the Battlefield Killer Move
Fang Yuan and Reckless's fight grew more intense. Fang Yuan used moves that grew more and more profound.
"Seasons Bring Change"
"7 Swords Slay Deities"
"Death Resides In Between Dang Hun And Luo Po"
That last killer move was close to a full Rank 9 Killer move. But it did nothing against the colossal Reckless Savage.
"Wait. Time out." Fang Yuan said as he made a 'T' gesture with his hands.
"Hmm." Reckless stopped and decided to hear Fang Yuan out.
"What is it you need a break? Are you surrendering? If you want to surrender chop off your skin so that I can wear it as a cape."
Fang Yuan frowned and snapped his fingers the walls of the space changed into a panoramic view of the situation outside.
After eavesdropping on what the venerables had to say Reckless whistled in amazement:
"I have to hand it to you; your use of killer moves is truly wonderous." Reckless was impressed by Fang Yuan's ability to remain completely hidden from 3 venerables in plain sight!
"You're too kind, we both know that this move is incomplete and can at best serve as a shield from the senses of nosy people."
Reckless laughed: "Ha were you worried that Star constellation and the others would interfere?"
A smirk drew across Fang Yuan's face: "No not them I'm more concerned with an even nosier individual."
"Oh who?"
Fang Yuan's gaze intensified: "Heaven's Will!"
With that Fang Yuan activated the Heaven Path Immortal Killer move he had been slowly constructing since his Heaven Path intuition.
Immortal Killer Move ------------ Capturing The Essence Of Heaven And Earth!
The surrounding darkness was suddenly illuminated by chains of gold formed from Heaven Path Dao Marks.
Reckless Savage was caught completely off guard.
The chains snaked across the void, binding Reckless Savage.
He put all his strength into resisting the chains, but they soon gripped his arms and legs completely incapacitating him.
"You! Fight me like a real man."
"Sure, if you manage to escape, I'm waiting for you." Fang Yuan said leisurely with his arms behind his back.
"You! Coward! Argh!" Reckless roared with all his might as he struggled against the chains.
The chains then began to shine and started dissolving, Reckless's Giant Form.
This made Reckless panic. The chains seemed particularly effective against him.
"What is this killer move?"
Fang Yuan's smile seemed almost sadistic: "I call this move, Capturing The Essence Of Heaven And Earth, these chains then as the name implies specialize in the restrain and capture of Essences of Heaven And Earth; or in other words Gu."
Reckless's face was absolutely flabbergasted: "How did you know?!"
As the chains tightened their grip on Reckless his form started shrinking until all that was left was a chrysanthemum flower.
Reputation Gu!
Yes, all along it was not truly Reckless Savage Demon Venerable but the legendary Reputation Gu who appeared in the Legends Of Ren Zhu; the same Gu that helped Ren Zu's first Sun Verdant Great Sun escape the ordinary abyss.

zulbucks I am very encouraged by all the support I have received, thank you all I am truly grateful, I never imagined that anyone would enjoy reading this little fantasy I had. Ever since I read Reverend Insanity, I would always imagine myself in the Gu world or as Fang Yuan and think what would he say and do in the next chapter. I would then be completely blown away by what Gu Zhen Ren would write. That wow factor that twists that changes the way I thought the story would progress without changing the destination, that style is something I deeply appreciate from RI, remember the Fate Wars? We all knew Fang Yuan would destroy Fate Gu but who would have thought that Red Lotus would make an appearance! And to think he answered the question in everyone's mind; can't Fate Gu be re-refined? But instead, he refined it into every living being so that they can take charge of their own fate. It was both a climactic scene as well as a poetic one. I don't think I can ever measure up to the prestige and writing skills of Gu Zhen Ren, but I know that it would be an incredible disservice to such a brilliant author to let his story go unfinished. I will give RI a proper send-off; I will give it an ending! So I would like to ask all my fellow Daoists to join me on this ride if you could, adding this book into your collections brings me so much motivation and makes the creative cogs in my head turn faster. Please add this book to your library :)
P.s Don't worry I'm not planning to end the book anytime soon I'm thinking at least 100 chapters before there's enough build-up to even begin the end.
