Bab 27: Chapter 27

Shikari

I woke up in Birsha’s bed confused and with a horrible migraine. As the sleep in my eyes clear I see Ali and Mer on one side of the bed and Birsha on the other. Each of them sleeps against either each other or my bed and I shake my head trying to clear the fog I feel. “What happened?” I whisper and everyone’s head whipped up and they all stare at me with relief.

“You're awake! Oh thank the Goddess. You have been out for two days and we were worried sick.” Mer says in a rush and crushing me in a hug as Ali slaps her off of me so I can breathe.

“Two days? I have been out for two whole days?” I ask and start coughing realizing my throat is so dry. Birsha hands me some water and I slowly drink while I try to remember what happened. Just then everything came rushing back. I remember what Ali and Xei had said about Kay and about a man named Tanic being her father. Which of course means he is also mine. I remember feeling confused and then consumed by an uncontrollable anger.
