The four of them all went out to get food together after they had all woken up, but Jake was the only one who had the drugs wear off completely so the other three were reasonably happy. They ordered an egg and meat dish for the table, one of the only meals that wasn't over a hundred bucks. I didn't give any stats as a result, but it was pretty tasty. Especially with the spirit tree syrup they had put into it.
They all decided to sell the bulk of the drugs and keep a little bit each for themselves. They each kept a pound each and sold the rest. He only took 50k because he was already pretty wealthy and Cristen needed to get a new suit because of the water and ice damage to the one she had. Suits like hers cost millions and it wasn't even on the expensive side of them.
He left them all to get back to their lives and he would start working again. He was very excited about the elite grade gem he had obtained but he was still another 23 levels before he could actually use it. He hadn't forgotten, but also had not gotten around to appraising the ashes or the materials he had gotten from Shen's stash.
He went back to his dorm to do so.

He was surprised that he could see light descriptions of the materials, but it was a welcome addition. He was both disappointed and happy that he couldn't appraise the ashes, because that meant it was higher than elite grade.
He didn't want to waste materials on something he couldn't use yet, so he was going to have to find a way to level up fast, or get more levels in unranked craftsmen. He looked up the skill, but it wasn't anything that was publicly posted. The only thing that it said was that many craftsmen got it as long as they got multiple skill points in one go like he did.
Leveling up would take a long time, so he instead found a way to guarantee unranked craftsmen would level up, a level quest scroll. It would create a quest to level it up regardless of the skill, but difficulty would be based on the skill and its current level compared to the users.
A short conversation with Jaylen and 2 million dollars got him the scroll and quest.

He expected the quest to be difficult, but this was a bit much. Even an okay level 15 could completely crush him with no issues, and his opponent had to be level 37 at a minimum. He also couldn't level up without making it more difficult for himself, so this challenge would definitely be something to put off until he hit a big stroke of luck where he could fight something that's weaker than its level. Or maybe something with a weakness he could exploit. He sat back on the throne to get the dungen up and running.

There were more than a hundred things he could make, but most of them were too expensive. He built the boss door, a mine, a re-production room, and a magic training room, leaving him with just 14 points. Elementals where magic focused most of the time, so that was a no brainer, and he was going to need gems and a reproduction room to make the elementals so making all this wasn't really a hard choice in what to build.

Upgrades were way more expensive than he expected, but he only needed some more units and a door to another world before it could level up. He placed the heart of flames into the reproduction room and left the training dimension.

Jake's eyes lit up. This was the first event in more than 5 years, and he was just in time for it! Worldwide events normally happen one or two times a year, but for some reason weren't happening. Events gave tons of free rewards to everyone who participated, along with the opportunity to get skills and items that couldn't be obtained in other ways.
Each event had its own quests, timeline, and goals but until it started he couldn't do anything. Some events only gave rewards, but some affected the world in many different ways, including summoning and buffing monsters all over. This meant that he was given the opportunity to move to a safe area provided by the school, but he was more interested in fighting.
He found Ray, Criss, and Shia all in the living room, so they all went together just in case they found something they couldn't face alone. Soon enough the countdown finished.

Beings of complete darkness started to appear starting with a single 8 foot tall knight. He couldn't tell if it was armor or skin, but it was black with only a bit of dark red leaking out of its joints and eyes. 5 foot tall beings clocked in the darkness came up next to them, but before even a second past, they were being bombarded with magic, weapons, and even a few stupid warriors and tanks.
