What if we are living in a simulation?
Everyone must have questioned themselves as such once or heard it from someone.
A world, our world, is nothing but a simulation in which we are AIs scattered everywhere.
But what if we are? How does our reality come into being?
If so, the simulation would most likely create perceptions of reality on demand rather than simulate all of the reality all the time—much like a video game optimized to render only the parts of a scene visible to a player.
—Maybe that's why we can't travel faster than the speed of light, because if we could, we'd be able to get to another galaxy—before they can program it—so the programmer put in that limit.
Noah clearly remembered reading that in an article over a comedy show.
What if we see because we want to see? — he once questioned as such — what if our reality exists because we need it?
When he had first seen the "world of intent", he questioned himself, what if our mind sees things based on intent?
What if it puts this "number of importance" on each intent and then chooses to show the one with the highest importance to the lowest importance?
For example, if two projectiles are thrown towards a person—one aimed to kill him while the other just hit him lightly, how will his mind perceive them? Based on the intent or number?
The answer was simple—it should be based on intent.
The mind will try its best to save its host from dying, so it should put more importance on the one aim to kill the person rather than the one that would do the person no harm.
It will increase the perception of the projectile that is to kill him while lowering the perception of the other, in short, it would solely try to focus on the one that will kill the person to make sure he is able to dodge it.
The mind perceives the world based on the intent towards its user — that was the answer Noah came up with.
If the intent is to harm the user, it will put more focus on that intent than others.
So what if one applied this concept during a fight?
During a fight, the opponent and their weapon, both have the same intent—to put down the other person.
That's why a person's mind would put both the opponent and his weapon almost on the same level of danger to its host.
What if the attacker didn't have any intent but his weapon had intent?
For example, if the attacker and the weapon become projectiles—one is to kill while the other is just there, will the mind perceive both or just the weapon?
The world seemed to come at a halt as the tip of Togi's sword made its way towards his heart.
It gently touched his chest, pushing against his skin, softly and slowly started to dig itself into his body.
Death — Noah could feel it.
This is what you feel when you are about to die, huh. — he internally thought — I should be thinking of dodging though.
Despite the death inching closer, he doesn't seem to care.
After all, he could finally see it, the world called "see-through".
The world where everything seemed to slow down to an unprecedented pace as if doing it just so he can watch and see everything happening.
The heaven and earth—everything seemed to purposely stop its predetermined action just so he can see it happening, see it recorded.
'I see… Is this how it feels to communicate with the world?'
CRRR
The sword pierced through Noah's throat, producing a loud sound of flesh being cut apart.
"This is the end. It was nice fighting with you, Noah Pendragon."
"Indeed, this is the end."
Togi's eyes widened to the extreme as he stared down, at the tip of the sword coming out from his chest.
<<Silence Shock Wave>>
The sword vibrated before the area around 5cm diameter of it burst open, creating a gaping hole in Togi's chest.
Petrified, he looked up at the Noah whose throat he had pierced—a slight wind blew before the Noah in front of him blurred and vanished, leaving only a single sword there, inserted into the ground.
"How…?"
"Well, what can I say, I'm somewhat of the son of the world myself," Noah answered with a smirk and narrowed eyes. "As for how… as I'd said, better luck finding it in the afterlife."
"Is that so?" Togi smirked slightly before a sigh left his face, the sword in his hand falling on the ground, producing a clear clank sound as it hit it, bouncing before stopping.
"Want to leave last will or something?"
Only silence answered him, before Togi looked down, his voice quite feeble as he answered.
"My son will be sold to the Zenin Clan in a year, do whatever you want with that information."
Thud*
Silently staring at the body of Togi lying on the ground, Noah sighed.
All the accumulated energy left his body as he fell down, the whole surroundings coming under a comfortable silence.
"Man… I don't ever want to fight like today… I should take becoming stronger seriously… DxD world is filled with OP beings after all."

Leaving Riko behind with the surprised and happy Misato, Geto ran and made his way towards the entrance of the Jujutsu High.
Knowing that the fight from here on out will be difficult, he didn't bring her with him less he ended up letting her die.
After a short run, he reached the entrance—his step halting as he stared at the ruin in front of him.
The buildings all around the place were utterly destroyed, some areas were burning with bright red flame while some were fully submerged into water with lightning arc dancing on it from time to time.
The whole field was filled with different weapons—swords, daggers, scythes, there were even guns around the place, making Geto wonder if a war has happened there or what.
Of course, Noah had learned all forms of weapons to fill his gap in magic, and so his inventory was filled with all sorts of weapons too.
Some magical while some normal—all in all, he had a huge amount of weapons thrown into his inventory for all forms of situations.
After examining the surroundings, he cautiously entered the area that was destroyed the most.
Seeing how calm everything was made his nerves tense, wondering where everyone had gone too.
"This…" The first body that came into his view was that of a middle-aged man with a gaping hole in his chest, making Geto sigh in relief. "So they killed him in the end…"
"Yo! You took your time. How is your harem status going?"
Hearing the voice filled with sarcasm made an unconscious smile appear on Geto's face before he turned around to see Noah sitting on the ground with his back resting on the wall.
"... He did a great number on you it seems."
"Really?! What gave it away?!" Noah gasped in mild astonishment. "The fact that my body is riddled with holes and slashing wounds or the fact that I almost got decapitated?"
"If you can speak like that I guess you are doing fine." Geto softly laughed before looking around and asking. "Where is Satoru?"
"I don't know. Maybe dead and already buried under the debris."
He wasn't lying when he said that. After all, during his fight with Togi, let alone Gojo, he had no idea where Illumi and Kalluto ran too.
Though it wasn't hard to guess that they probably have retreated back to their clan, which was quite sad since Noah knew he can't use them any longer.
'Should have asked Geto or Gojo to put some kind of curse on them…'
"He got defeated?" Geto's eyes widened and he asked with a voice filled with surprise and astonishment.
It was indeed a shocking thing to hear that the user of Six Eyes—who also possessed Limitless—got defeated by someone who didn't even possess cursed energy.
But then looking back at Noah, he thought it made sense.
Sorcerers were so used to fighting with other sorcerers and curses that if an unknown factor like Togi and Noah was put in front of them, it wouldn't be surprising for them to die by their hands.
"He got gang banged by Kalluto and Togi together… Got his throat and head pierced."
"Is he…"
"He is alive." Noah cut him off and sighed, feeling the pain in his body rising with each passing second even though he had been using <<Light Healing>> and <<Recovery>>, it wasn't showing any signs of calming down and healing.
'Thankfully Shoko knows the Reversed Cursed Technique and can use it on other people, or my beautiful face and body might be left with such ugly burned scars…'
Though it was shown that even Reversed Cursed Technique can't heal everything—like Maki's burned body—he really hoped that was not the case.
"During his last moment, he pulled all his cursed energy within himself and focused solely on understanding the Reversed Cursed Technique. He should be reviving so—"
"Who buried me!?"
"There you go…" Noah said, staring at the rocks flying around as Gojo came out of it fully healed as he took everything within his surroundings.
"Oh! You look pathetic Noah. What happened? Did you also get your ass beaten by Togi?" With the same smirking face as if his throat and head getting pierced never happened, he nonchalantly asked.
Noah raised a brow with mild annoyance staring at his smile that seemed to say he knows everything, making him want to punch him.
"Don't be surprised. When Togi stabbed you, my eyes caught what you did to your heart." Pointing his fingers at his eyes, he smirked and said. "This pair of eyes sees a lot of different things."
"... Sounds very sexually suggestive. When did you get them upgraded to x-ray vision?"
"It was the weird energy within your body," Gojo answered (ignoring the first part), remembering the energy he saw when Noah's heart was pierced. "It protected your heart, creating a layer around it, didn't it? That's why I knew from the start you didn't die."
'I want those eyes…' He wondered if he took his eyes and implanted them in himself, would it work…
"... Stop… I'm not gay…" Gojo took a step back, feeling Noah's intense stare on his face.
"..."
"Where are the Zoldyck siblings?" Ignoring their banter as if he was used to it by now, Geto looked around and asked.
When Togi had attacked, everyone ignored them since Togi took higher priority but now that everything has been solved, he wondered if they had run away.
"Runaway probably," Noah answered with slight annoyance in his voice. "Togi had cut the restriction on them, and after her attack on Gojo, I would be surprised if they decided to stay and watch my fight."
Geto nodded before looking towards Noah and smiled.
"Let's go back. I'll ask Shoko to heal your body."
"I would appreciate that." Noah nodded before looking towards Gojo for a second and said. "Togi's son is going to be sold to the Zenin Clan in a year… he said to do whatever we want with the information."
"I see…" Smiling, Gojo stared at the sky and fell into silence, not saying anything else.
