Bab 28: Chapter 28

“You’re doing it to him, aren’t you?”

My eyebrows climbed. “That is no more your affair than you flogging your own staff is mine.”

“Hah! I don’t get as noisy as you two when I do it.”

“Stop being a child and grow up.”

He pointed to the tip of his penis jutting up out of the water. “I am being a man about it.”

“Go take care of it on your own.” I got out of the pool before my staff betrayed me. I didn’t linger, but I suspect Lucas proceeded to take care of his need. The thought of it almost drove me back to the crick.

That evening, I lit a couple of lamps in the loft and pulled out some of my books. Lucas showed no interest in looking at the letters making up words but could not hide his curiosity about the passages I read aloud. At least, it was a start.
