“That’s for you.”
Pablo stared at Keenan, obviously taken aback and bewildered, before gazing down at the paper bag. “Uh, okay? Thanks?”
Keenan was pissed off at himself when he felt his cheeks heating up a little. He couldn’t believe his body was betraying him at such a crucial moment. He was even more irritated when he heard David and a few of his other friends snickering behind him. Damn traitors! He needed a new, better, and more loyal group of friends. He was embarrassed enough for acting like a stupid teenage boy with a crush. It was worse when he had an audience to witness the humiliating scene in its entirety. Regardless, he needed to grow the fuck up and stop blushing like a damn virgin. He glanced around to avoid Pablo’s eyes before clearing his throat loudly.
“Su…sure. You’re welcome.”
Pablo was quiet for a brief moment before waving the paper bag in the air. “It’s not my birthday, though.”
Keenan glared at Pablo before looking away. “It’s…it’s…it’s a gift.”
