Bab 24: Chapter 24

“That you weren’t gay?” he asked gently.

I nodded.

“You are what you are, Seth. There’s nothing wrong with you. And there certainly isn’t anything wrong with being gay.”

I let out a shaky breath. “He’s always found me to be a disappointment. You know, even before I came out, I wasn’t what he wanted. I don’t even know what he wanted.”

“In my opinion, he’s really missing out then. You’re very special, Seth.”

I wiped a tear that had fallen onto my cheek. “I guess I should go back inside.”

“In a minute,” Casey said, somehow pulling me closer. “I like holding you like this.”

“I like it, too,” I whispered. “Thank you for being here. You-you don’t have to stay if you want to go home.”

“Hey.” He tucked a finger under my chin to lift my face and our gazes met. Mine was a little blurry from tears. His smile was gentle. “I’m right where I want to be.”
