“I…uh…I caught the first flight I could get when Rogers told me you’d left the country. He wasn’t thrilled he was going to be a man short with you away, but—”

He shook his head. “All you did was leave Haynsworth alone in his study. Granted that wasn’t professional, but I can’t say as I blame you. I wouldn’t want to be in the same room as that bastard for any longer than I had to be. Anyroad, how were you to know he was off his rocker and would shoot himself?”
