Bab 66: Chapter 66

So much for Michael’s training and Charlie’s skills number two, three, and five. Now, Michael was asking her to forget skill number one. Trust her? Cam shook her head. She was about to violate number six: she was on the verge of losing control. Damn, and if there were someone here right now that she could talk to, she’d break number eight, too, because her emotions were getting very close to the surface.

Suddenly, there was a loud cry from down the hall.

“Guards! Help!” came the shout, “Somebody call the C.O.s! Hurry!” The voice was frantic. Cam heard running feet in the hall as the screaming continued. The full bank of lights in the hall came on brightly and two guards ran by, one fumbling on her belt for the coil of keys. Loud voices now rang from the other cells, some concerned, most angry at being woken by the noise and the lights. A third guard ran up but stopped and turned as she heard the order, “Call a medic! Get a doctor in here, quick!”
