Dulcie Dylan was the name I’d given Mark’s character, a strong, talented, no-nonsense woman who was more than a challenge for every man in the book, including Bryce Bridger—me. Mark was the one who’d decided to refer to her as Double D.

He snickered. “I’m surprised she’s letting you get away with it.”

I frowned at him. “What makes you think she is? Damned character is driving me crazy.” In exactly the same way Mark had when we’d first been fucking with each other’s minds. “That’s why I thought I’d put some space between us and write another book. What is it?” He was giving me a look…“Oh, no, Mark. I’m not letting you break up with me.”
