Bab 78: YOU ARE NOT GERALD'S LOVER?!

Gerald was in a dilemma. He couldn't see Bertha crying like that, begging for his help. Then there was also Theodora, who had expectations from him. He knew that Isabella would definitely find the cure for Lady Cordelia's sickness, but he didn't want her to meet Theodora.

It would not take Isabella much time to figure out how and why Gerald befriended the Longhurst's daughter. And that was the last thing he wanted.

After much contemplation, he sighed, "Alright! I will ask my friend to help."

Bertha's face brightened up instantly like a full moon appeared from behind the dark clouds. "Really?!!"

"Yes, BUT-"

"Your all conditions are accepted. Now I will go and tell this good news to Lady Theodora and-"

"That is what you are not going to do, Bertha!" He told her with a serious face.

Bertha was confused. "What do you mean?"
