 for his wife to return safe and sound, so why was his wife missing an eye!? 

"Its a small price to pay," Yu Dong touched her eye, which she had lost and smiled at Chen Mi. Seeing that none of her husbands was smiling, she raised her hand and ruffled Chen Mi's hair before saying, "Its alright; don't look at me like that. It doesn't hurt anymore; look—aren't I back safe and sound?" 

"Do you call this safe and sound?" Ye Liu asked as he looked at the hands and neck that were covered in scars. Who knows how many more scars were hiding within those crimson red robes? The more he looked at his wife, the more Ye Liu felt his heart ache.
