Feng Liang shook his head in horror. It was as if he would rather willingly die rather than go take a bath. 

"Don't touch me! No! No!" Feng Liang shook his head vigorously. His eyes filled with fear as he looked at Liao de for help. 

Liao De looked at the mer who was clutching his arm tightly and turned to look at Yu Dong and the rest of the family before saying, "Can we not bathe? I am fine but he is yet to overcome his fear. When we were locked up in the shack the women of that village would throw water on us until our clothes were soaked." 

Though Liao De did not say it explicitly, everyone understood why the women soaked these two mers with water. Even though they were too young to be taken to bed, those women who were feeding and giving them a place to stay must have thought that it was only right if they took a bit of advantage of these two mers.
