Mother Chen was a great mason, with a lot of experience but she was used to people haggling with her, it was really difficult for her to earn fifty cents even after building an entire house with a shed, people would always haggle with her from the beginning because of the rumours that her second sister spread around after Mother Chen split of the family, her second sister went around calling her unfamiliar for breaking the promise of taking care of her siblings that she made to their dead parents, so eighty cents for a day was a very generous offer for her.
