Bab 294: Dont meddle in their affairs

The night air was cool and heavy with the scent of rain as Arnaryn stepped out into the mansion's courtyard. His dragon awaited him there, a magnificent creature with scales that shimmered in shades of obsidian and deep blue. The dragon's eyes, golden and fierce, watched him approach with an intelligence that was almost unsettling.

"Vryssar," Arnaryn said softly, placing a hand on the dragon's snout. The beast rumbled in response, lowering itself to allow its rider to climb aboard.

The knight who had delivered the message stood nearby, watching silently as Arnaryn mounted. The dragon's wings spread wide, casting a shadow over the courtyard as it prepared for takeoff.

With a powerful leap, Vryssar launched into the air, its wings beating against the wind as it ascended into the night sky. The city below shrank rapidly, its sprawling streets and glittering lights becoming a patchwork of gold and black.
