He decided to swim around for a bit at least trying to understand where he is he starts to notice most cells if not all are incredibly simple and none, as developed, compared to modern time's standards in fact he didn't encounter a single Eukaryote cell
... could it be... that I am at Archean age the beginning times of life?????
dread fills him he didn't have much hope to regain his human form, to begin with, but this put another damper on his hopes he is living at a period that's thousands of millions of year's before the evolution of the first species of the homo genus let alone homo sapiens let alone surviving could he even stay sane for that long???
as he subconsciously drifts he touches into another cell and instincts take over and what happens next fills him with both horror and shock
his body starts to change a void-like black and utterly crimson glowing red line patterns take hold spike-like sharp tentacle organs stick out of his cell wall and before the other cell can realize what's happening in a blink of an eye one of the tentacles pierces the cell and utterly sucks all the material and genes to his body his cell shape changes slightly and his inner structures starts to produce new proteins and enzymes unique to the cell he just absorbed but John cares for none of that for he remembers the shape he took he remembers that shape how could he not he was an avid fan of the games that centered around this virus
in the primordial ocean of earth John thinks of one thing and one thing only to himself the mere thought of it is a dark and foreboding for the future itself
