Bab 83: The Short Battle of the City Gate

The higher-ups flinched upon the revelation of the adventurers. Never did they think that those abandoned dogs would stand against them. Before, not a single thought of adventurers facing them had passed through their minds. After all, it had been hundreds of years, and the spirit adventurer union branch of Anfang didn't do anything but get passive. 

Now that the adventurers had emerged, the situation got a lot more complicated than before. The higher-ups were in a disadvantageous state. They calmed themselves down as one of them replied to Soteria. "Don't get arrogant just because you have the backing of the adventurers."

"I'm not being arrogant. I'm doing nothing but stating the fact." Soteria slyly smiled, which was rarely to be seen. The receptionist then stood forward and said with a calm voice. "You lowly higher-ups. The fact that you dared to betray the city of Anfang speaks of your ignorance."
