Bab 67: Loyalty of the Little Demon

"W-wait, what?" Alcyone shook her head as she calmed both her heart and mind. She earnestly gazed upon Alastair's light magenta irises and questioned with a calm voice. "Why do you want someone like me to be your subordinate, Alastair? I'm sure you haven't forgotten the time we fought against each other in the field."

Alcyone was confused, and such confusion was not unfounded. Alastair Hecate was her enemy, which had captured her for information. Why would Alastair seek a captured enemy as a subordinate? That was too strange and confusing for the little demon. Was it a trick to lower her guard? Or was it something different?

Alcyone couldn't help but get trapped under her own thoughts.
