"I should probably get going," said Z as he began to go down the mountain.
Since the top is covered with clouds, he really can't peek down to see what is around the mountain.
As he was travelling down the giant beast peaked its head through the thick trees around. Its eye on the side that is color green locked onto him as if a predator found its prey.
Z being no stranger to danger prepared to kill the beast. a faint yellow glow could be seen around his hand. This is one of the things he trained in those two years. 'World Energy: Release'. According to the old man it was an essential part of the basics. This basically allows you to release the world's energy inside your body. It can be used to protect the body - not just strengthen - , can also be used to attack in the form of --
"World Energy: Release: Sharpen" said Z
The energy around his hand changed from being soft and malleable to sharp and destructive. It took a narrow cone shape that extended in the form of his hand. Energy also gathered in his feet as he kicked the ground to leap toward the beast.
Seeing the action of the human, the beast revealed its full body. Green in color, eyes on its sides. Something Z had never seen before. ( A/N: A giant praying mantis)
"What the hell is this?" Z couldn't help but question as his slash was blocked by it's two hands.
"Puny human dares to attack me!?" As the beast spoke in anger.
"Wha--t!??" shock was painted all over his face as this was his first time encountering a beast that can speak.
"Just an idiot, trying to destroy a mountain with a brush"
Z was flown back as the best repelled his attack.
The beast leaped to him aiming to stab him with its long sharp hands.
"World Energy: Manifest: Shield"
This is the next level after release. Here, world energy takes shape and solidifies hence manifesting.
The stab and the shield collided. Both parties took steps back to combat the recoil.
"A kid yet you already know how to manifest!? What a monster" remarked the beast "Well, you are still gonna die!"
The beast leaped once more, but this time, the endpoint of its hands has a red glow
"World Energy: Release: Condense" shouted the mantis.
Although the mantis was quick, it falls short when compared to the speed of old man sorrow. This allowed Z to contemplate. 'I can't take this head on' he thought. With that he dodged the stab. He was terrified. The ground he had been in did not explode. It was pierced through! exactly to the shape of the hands of the beast. 'Seems like it was right to dodge'
Realizing that he was weaker than the beast he ran. 'Alas, truly a frog in a well' he thought.
