Bab 5: Chapter 005- Conspiracy
Ling yun has read about more epic and destructive fight than this. But this is his first time seeing something like this in real life. If not for his self control, he would have started shouting like a typical fanboy.
Ling yun sighed in relief seeing that Ling wan has finally won. Though he has trust in Ling wan, the opponent was stronger than them and if it had taken the fight seriously from the start, it is hard to determine whether Ling wan would have been able to advance to Emperor profound realm and win.
Though he had some backup plan if they lost, there is always that one percent chance of something going wrong.

"Elder wan, how is your injury?"
"That dragon was strong. I am barely able to stand up now. Give me a few hours, young master. By then, I will have recovered enough to continue the journey," Ling wan said while throwing a medicinal pill with healing properties in his mouth.
"Then, you can rest for a while. I will go check out the cave to see if there are any valuable things inside."
After reaching the inside of the cave, Ling yun started to search for the fire seed of evil god. It didn't take long for him to find it. It is small and round in size, close to the size of a common marble. As for it's color, it is red.
Since it is going to take a while for Ling wan to recover, Ling yun decided to inspect this little thing for a while. After tinkering with it for more than an hour, he came to the conclusion that only the inheritor of evil god will be able to use it to it's full potential.
Others will only be able to get some superficial benefits like that dead dragon out there. So, Ling yun just stored it in his spatial ring since he couldn't use it for himself.
He then looked for any valuables but couldn't find any except the fire spirit grass. But since he has no knowledge of harvesting, he only can leave them here.

Few hours later-
Ling wan recovered enough to fly. But when they were planning to leave the center of the mountain range, they encountered a problem. Because the body of the dragon was too big, there isn't enough space in both of their spatial rings to store it.
So Ling yun decided to take the important body parts and hid the rest of the body somewhere. When he goes back to the Heavenly sword villa, he will send some people to retrieve it.
After sorting all things out, they came out of the mountain range and started their journey again with others. In a few days of time, they finally managed to reach the Heavenly sword villa.
On the way, Ling yun wanted to get the inheritance from the phoenix and the dragon but he decided otherwise.
*I should wait for a bit to let my newly obtained subordinates to at least get competent enough to defend themselves. Then we can get those inheritances together. Since I am planning to built a powerful empire, I will need powerful people to support it. And those inheritances are perfect to let my subordinates become a strong figure even in god realm.* Ling thought to himself and decided postpone the idea of getting inheritances for a while.
Though one think kept bugging him and that is what to do with the inheritance of evil god. He doesn't want to use the immortal blood that was left behind by evil god himself for the same reason as jasmine's.
If he had gotten that immortal blood before he started his cultivation, he would have happily used it. But now, after coming this far, Ling yun thinks it is stupid to destroy his cultivation just for some legacy, no matter how grand it might be.
Some might ask, why didn't he waited for jasmine to come before starting cultivation, then? The answer to that is question is quite simple, it's foolish. Why would he waste decades of his life being called trash, getting bullied when he doesn't even have the reassurance that he will surely be able to get his hand on that immortal blood.
The only reason yun che managed to get that because he had heavenly poison pearl on him and jasmine needed him to be strong and alive for her to survive. Otherwise, even in thousands years, he wouldn't have gotten something like that for himself.

Few days later-
Heavenly sword villa-
"Elder wan, show everyone their living quarter first. Then after informing my father, come to my room. I have something to discuss with you."
"As for all of you, it has been a long journey, rest for while. I will talk to you all later."
They nodded and followed Ling wan to their living quarters.

After talking to his mother and reassuring her that he is alright, Ling yun waited in his room for Ling wan to come.
It didn't take long for him to come. Both sat down facing each other.
Ling yun looked directly into Ling wan's eyes and said with a serious tone of voice, "Elder wan, can I trust you?"
"What do you mean, young master? Of course, you can trust me."
"Then let me ask you this, who will you support between my father and me if a conflict arises?"
Ling wan became quite for a while, then took a deep breath and said, "Young master, the moment I decided to become your bodyguard, I already made the decision to support you in any steps you might take."
"And after seeing you progressing day by day, I have no doubt that you will become something big. From your recent actions, it is clear that you have the potential to become a great leader in the future. Not to mention, your cultivation talent which will make you a top powerhouse, even going toe to toe with the sacred grounds might be possible."
"So, I Ling wan, supreme elder of the Heavenly sword villa, hereby pledge my undying loyalty to my new master, Ling yun," Ling wan said while being in a kneeling position.
"I am happy to hear your allegiance, elder wan. I assure you that you will never regret your decision today. You can sit down now, elder wan."
"Yes, master."
"No need to change the form of address. You can keep calling me young master."
*I never thought he has that much respect for me in his heart. Anyway, with his allegiance, now I can start the plans I had in mind,* Ling yun thought to himself.
"Elder wan, how many trusted people you have in this villa?"
"If you talk about the higher ups, there is only a few of them I trust. Though I have thousands of trustworthy subordinates who are either low level elder or disciples," After mentally calculating for a while, Ling wan replied.
"Then, I want you to create a small intelligence group with those subordinates. Their sole purpose will be to monitor my father and his faction. Make sure to train them well so that they don't mess up."
"Also contact those higher level elders you trust and show them your emperor profound realm power. Tell them that you want to become the villa master. Also, make sure to prepare a speech beforehand to highlight my father's failure as a villa master to make those elders support you," Ling yun said.
"But, shouldn't it be you who should be the villa master?" Ling wan asked in confusion.
"I am still a little young, elder wan. All those arrogant elders wouldn't want a little boy to rule over them. As long as I rule from behind the scenes, it's enough."
"On the other hand, you have been a grand elder for a long time. People respects you. As long as you can present yourself well, you will surely receive many supporters," Ling yun explained why he chose Ling wan instead of him to be the villa master.
Ling wan's respect for Ling yun grew more and more. He said to Ling yun with utmost determination, "Don't worry, young master. This old bone will not disappoint you."
