The celebrations lasted the entire night while the serpents were skinned. The scales were stripped and stored to later be sold in the next town. Kai put the Lee family administrators in charge of selling and distributing the proceeds to each family.

When they heard that all proceeds would be given to the people, the Lee family administrators were astounded by the level of Kai's generosity but still followed the orders regardless.

Five days passed as the convoy continued its journey. They were only traveling during the day, then would find a secure campsite for the night. This significantly slowed their travel speed but kept up everyone's mood and morale.
