Since Emanuel started dating Serenity, Selene finally had a friend to talk about her secret. She was happy Emanuel was interested in her secret and he supported her, from the day he discovered it. She was really grateful to him for always supporting her, and for helping her keeping her secret from Mark. But Serenity was like her and she could really understand the difficulties of constantly trying to live a normal life. Serenity was a source of support for Selene, who had only been a vampire for a few years.

While Selene listened to her and took her advice as an example, Jeremy kept ignoring his sister.
