Chi Ai shook her head and pretended to be nonchalant,

"What possibly could happen to me."

Ning Bei looked at her suspiciously and said,

"Ai are you hiding something from me?"

"Nope." Chi Ai shook her head but the angry expression on her face didn't fade.

Ning Bei placed the fruit bowl on the table and sat beside Chi Ai.

Placing a hand on Chi Ai's face Ning Bei asked,

"Now tell me. What happened?"

Chi Ai was silent for a long while before asking,

"Mom, how did you fall in love with Dad?"
