They made their way back to Brody's hotel room. While leading her inside, he stood behind her as she looked over her shoulder to him. Brody ran his hand over her shoulders and leaned in to kiss where the hand had been.
"I've wanted to be close to you like this for a long time."
"Brody, why didn't you tell me before? Was it because you didn't think I was… pretty enough?" She sighed.
Brody turned her body to face him. "Violet, never think that. I don't care about how you dress. If you want to go back to the pants suits and bun in your hair, I don't care. I fell in love with you. It has not one damn thing to do with the outside. I've always thought you were beautiful regardless of how you dressed. I know you noticed me checking you out all the time, and the only difference now is the way you carry yourself. It was like you were hiding before and I was afraid to approach you."
