Prince Nikosh and I took a seat, pretending to be a functioning couple. We decided to sit right next to each other and my father noticed giving a faint smile. The emperor also sat down right across from us and stared expectantly.

"So go on with it young prince, have you two progressed to get to know one another?" He starts and I turn to Prince Nikosh whom he has asked, instead of me.

"Go on, I am interested in knowing how the two of you are the best of friends or maybe something even more." He seemed so happy, and expectant with us.

I felt bitter but still I decided to not butt in through their conversation, because my father was more into my fiance's inputs about his day.
