Bab 504: Sadness

I tilted my head and gave her a fake smile. Then, I took the broccoli out of the plate.

Mrs. Ma Ji said, "Nanxing, broccoli is very nutritious."

I picked up a piece of lettuce with my chopsticks. As I ate, I mumbled, "I know, but I don't like it."

Mrs. Ma Ji advised me, "Even if you don't like it, you should eat more. Don't be picky."

Before I could say anything, my uncle said, "Let her be. If she doesn't like it, then so be it. What's the big deal? There is other nutritious food!"

I nodded in agreement.

Mrs. Ma Ji said, "If you pamper her like this, she'll become a more picky eater in the future."

My uncle waved his hand. "So what? It's not like she can't afford it."

Mrs. Ma Ji had no choice but to give up. That was the truth of our lives.

Uncle pampered me without any principles. He would give me the moon if I wanted it. Mrs. Ma Ji wanted to discipline me, but she didn't have the right to do so.
