Bab 12: Part 2 Chapter 12: Taking time to relax

Back in his hotel room, Curt took a quick shower.

He dressed in a faded denim and cream colour T-shirt with a black logo - a birthday gift from the children. Checking his military edition watch, he went to the grand lobby. At the front desk he booked two scooters for their trip and booked a 4-hour lunch boat tour he had seen on a brochure. The customisable tour was a huge advantage and a wonderful surprise for his Sonia.

If only it was true. He hated to keep her in the dark about his marital status. Last night was wonderful. He felt refreshed for the first time in a while. The jolt of protectiveness he experienced still not clear.

A quick prayer before he walked into a dangerous situation was the norm, but they were far away from any dangerous situation. Nothing was out of the ordinary. Who would want to harm her?

In his line of work he learned to trust his gut. It saved his life and those of his men. Last night he tried to ignore it, but it intensified until he went to her.
