Song Jia's hand slipped from Sun Xun's grasp.

"Just go..I'll be there.." Song Jia said.

Sun Xun pursed his lips.

"Please, Mister.. This way.." The middle-aged woman urged him to follow her.

Sun Xun didn't want to budge from where he stood.

On the other side, Song Jia was led to a store.

She looked around for Sun Xun.

"Here, Miss. Please take a seat. The gentleman is still changing into new robes." A different middle-aged woman told her.

Song Jia took a seat, her gaze swept around the room.

"Miss, have some pastries while you wait."

Song Jia looked at the beautifully plated desserts.

She picked up one.

In the corner of her eye, she noticed the middle-aged woman stare at her intently.

Song Jia's brows slightly furrowed. She looked at the pastry in her hand.

She took a bite of the pastry.

Her eyes flashed.

'Hmm..'
